I've had one of these amps in my SUV for 2+ years pushing 2 Audiobahn Alum12Qs which handle 1000watts RMS each. I have smoked 3 Audiobahn Alum12Qs during the years with it and will continue to for the life of the amp. This amp puts out alot more power than rated which is 1000watts RMS into 2OHMS. This amp is identical to the Rockford Fosgate 1001BD (Rockford owns Lightning Audio!) but about $120.00 less! This amp will run at 1.5 Ohms (2 dual-voice coil subs wired in a parallel configuration - 6 ohm speaker impedence easily) although manufacturer doesn't recommend it(I've been running it for 2+ years now). This is hands down the strongest amp for the money and will smoke the equivalent amps in its power class from Earthquake, PPI, Fosgate, MTX, Phoenix Gold, Orion, Soundstream, Crossfire, Kicker, and even Audiobahn! Comes with the remote bass knob to crank up 18db at 40hz which is fun when your stuck in traffic! If you can find a better amp out there that can beat this, then don't listen to me and buy that one!
