I recently purchased two sets of these speakers. I used them in a marine application, rather than an automotive. Size limitations in my Allison XB2003, were one of the main reasons that I went to an automotive speaker rather than a marine one. The speakers offered features that were weather resistant by design. They mounted easily and sound great. In an open forum, it is difficult to create a good sound, but these speakers sound great. The stereo is pushing 200 watts, w/no external amp. Evan at higher volumes and water speeds at 70+ the speakers keep in step with minimum distortion at peak volume. I can hear the sound of the music over the roar of 225 horses. The base is supervising for a 5 1/4 inch cone. The only down fall in my application is that the grills (although I like and needed a full web) are a little plain looking. In an auto application (enclosed area) I could only imagine how good they would sound. I can def. rec. the product - particularly at this cost. As far durability, only time will tell, but if they hold up in a boat - I will be sold on Bazooka for my next pair.
