THIS AMP SEEMS GEARED MORE TOWARD 8" SUBS, I HAVE THIS AMP ON A SET OF 8s AND THEY SOUND REALLY GOOD, DEEP BASS TOO, BUT IT DONT PUSH A SET OF 10s VERY WELL, GOOD LITTLE AMP FOR THE MONEY THOUGH. IF YOUR GOING YO PUSH A GOOD SET OF 8s WITH IT THEN I SAY GET IT.

More and more local retailers and installation shops are Dropping Rockford Fosgate. They do stand behind their product, but the amount of failures is unaceptable for many customers. They make an awesome strong subwoofer, but in my opinion they are not a good amplifier manufacturer. Yes, you get Raw power, but it is NOT clean, and the amplifier design consists of SMT's and Non-Servicable circuits. What's this mean to the customer? - Downtime and hassle of having to swap it out. Be ready to have a power capacitor ready for one of these, and Plenty of ventillation. Most of the power it consumes goes up into Heat. Not a very efficient A/B amp. It's a "Fad" amp. All the large retailers carry it, and despite it's dirty characteristics, low end stereo shops boust "How cool it is to have a Rockford Fosgate in your car". When your ready to get Serious about car audio, move up to something with real power, and CLEAN audio. Rockfords Fosgate division just isn't making the grade.
have to say yes on the non servicable boards.but i have had this amp in my wifes car for 2 years now and no problems.so as far as quality and longetivity go you tell me 2 years...and still going.yes it is not the cleanest but punch is fosgates entry level.the power or rf series is for competition.for the 99.00 price this will make a single 10" sub hit pretty well.enough for most people.this amp seems better suited to run a pair of full range speakers though.but yes fosgate is not what they used to be.still at under a 100 bucks good luck finding better.
