This is a good intermediate level bass amp. I just installed it the other day and it hits pretty hard, even with the crappy subs that i have with them. i ordered the 12" HE2s to go with it, perfect match. just make sure you know how to wire it, and you are probably gonna want a capacitor to go with.
very nice amp, but it takes 2 8 gauge wires instead of 1 4 gauge...so a distribution block was needed..
Good amp for a midlevel sound system
THE 801S IS A GOOD AMP WITH THE RIGHT SUBS and THE RIGHT SUBS R AUDIOBAHN AW12 800WATTS RMS EACH OVER ALL ITS A GOOD AMP BUT RF SUBS SUCK THEY BLOW VERY EASY EXP THE HE2s
great amp got it to my fnq mids very loud and clear but only draw back is it heats up real bad in 2 ohm load so i got fans and now it is ok i wouldn't reccomend it for subs unless u got a well vent area and mount vertical and lots of fans
This amp is good for midlevel as everyone else say. I have them on 2- 10"P3 Rockfords and they do an alright job, they do heat up after couple hours of continous play.
Have in stalled in 93 mustang. Its pounding. I have it bridged mono at 2.7 oms. Pumping 3 J.L W3 D4 A one farad cap and a phoniex gold line driver. Doesnt heat up or shut off. Gain is not any 30%
I have 4 of these pushing 8 P3's with no worries. If they are heating up as people are claiming then have them adjusted properly. Turn the bass up on the head unit, get a head unit with at least a 5 volt preamp, don't just crank the gains up all the way. If set up right you can have the amp working at full power and have the gains up half way.
