|Well, plunked down $99 at best buy today for these speakers to "upgrade" my system. Problem with the old setup was that my 6 x 9's distorted when I turned the volume up past 25 (out of 40) on my head unit. The head unit is only 45 watts per channel, so you would think a speaker that claims 100watts rms could handle it no problem right? Well, they can- if I turn my bass almost all the way down. The sony website even mentions these speakers bass handling ability. The highs and mids are exceptional, though. Overall, I wouldnt recommend these speakers for your main source of bass, but they serve their purpose in a system with subs and an amp to provide bass.|
