I Have a 1999 Mazda Mellina Base..and to replace the 6x9's I had to take out the back seat and top cover. However, the speakers are a huge difference from factory very clear and bass is clean. You will need a amp. I suggest the Alpine 4 channel 40w MRP-F250 I also change the front. But these speakers are good..great clear sound...easy to install.
