This amp will desimate all.
I purchassed this amp because it was the only one that can drive a 2 ohm load to this level of power, many others need 1 ohm. It is the center of my competition veicle and is simply unreal! The sheer power and looks are worth every penny spent.
Hifonics amps have always been a powerhouse. When they first came out there were only 4 companies that made amps(Linear power and Rockford Fosgate were 2 of them and no slouches at that), but Hifonics was then more powerful and still is. The Colossus is no exception. 3,200 watts into 2ohm and more if you put enough juice to the amp. So if you want to bump go with at least 400 watts, but if you want to pound the sound the Colossus is the ticket. just make sure you have subs that can take the power. One more thing if you're insane, have deep pockets, and just want to blow everybody in your town away; get the 10,000 watts of fury Hifonics Maxximus!
This amp is extremely awesome and powerful I have it powering four Soundsplinter RLP-15" subs in a 13.02cu ft enclosure in my s-10 and that thing pounds. I highly recommend this amp if you really want power.. Is worth every penny!
I don’t quite have this exact model… I have the older Generation XI COLOSSUS !!! and it’s quite powerful… I can’t even explore the amp’s full potential (because my subs can’t handle it… and my charging system won’t be able to keep up). I had it hooked up for about 2 hours, and it played loud, clean and powerful… I had it hooked up in stereo @ only 4 ohms each channel… and it was more powerful than my 1200 watt Class D JBL BP 1200.1 I had it on before I got this… if you want to not only be the king of your town… and want to humiliate other’s… then this if for you. Cons: Way too (Physically) large for most car applications... (Over 33 inches long) Better suited as an SPL amp or DB Dragging... (Class AB amp for the Gen XI only), so u know what that means... Great sound but inefficient
i have this amp pushing three audiobahn immortal 12" subwoofers, and the xx olumpus 4 channel amp pushing apr of pioneer ts-c130r,ts-c15r,and a pair of ts-d170r in a cadalliac sedan deville , the box sealed off facing forword ,and it hits 159.4 db. two svr batteries, and a 225 amp alternator, these amp are the best i've in a long while.
This is a great amp at a great price no BS power rating these ratings are true at 12.8 v, This is a Class D amp not ab like some other guy said, try to get this much power REAL POWER not bs power for a cheaper price.
i liked the amp because i never have any trouble out of it i have 1 18 in a bronko 2 and it hits 165.3 on the db meter and it is unreal if u can feed it the power it needs its simply the best in my openion
This is the best Amp I done heard in a long time. If u wanna beat down the block this is what u want.
WOW! The money spent here is well worth it. Personally one of my favorite amps even if money didn't matter.
