RF has dun it again. These speakers r phenominal. Ive got a 94 Bronco w/a pair of the T162s in my doors being pushed 100w rms per channel. I have a pair of the T1682s 6x8 in the back seat also being pushed by 100w rms per channel. I have 2 RF P3 12" Subs in a 2x12 vented enclosure with each sub being pushed 400w rms. All speakers r being pushed by Alpine Vpower amps. These speaker sound sick. Clear and crisp u hear every nuance in all kinds of music, from jazz to metal to hip hop, it doesnt matter. These speaker can handle whatever u need from them. A Little expensive, but definitley worth difference.
I drive an 06 F-150 Supercrew with a set of these in each door. I have a T4004 powering all four sets at 4ohms for 100wRMS to all doors and I can blast rap, rock, tejano, classical, and any other kind of music with these and they do it with finess and near perfect fidelity. They are so loud and sound so clean even when I run them at high volumes and they make the factory door speaker locations seem custom placed because of how good the sound is in any seat in my truck. I'm not even using subs becauase the sound is so good already. Nice punchy lows, loud and clear mids, and bright but subtle highs. Great value, sound is awesome, and they look great if you have em outside of your doors. Closest thing to perfection I've owned.
I just bought a mazda 6. I wanted to build a system from the ground up. Trying to find a good 6x8 door speaker was tough reviews are rare. These are in both my front door and back door i have a kenwood excelon amp pushing 100 rms a piece. The sound of these speaker are fantastic with just a factory head unit with a good amp. Once you clip out the low freq, you've got a monster of some mid bass driver. I'm talking a complete inability to use mr drving mirrors when i have it all the way up. It's only going to improve after i get a aftermarket head unit. None the less the highs are great,the mid bass is even better. This has to be one of the best component speakers drivers in it's class. Just make sure you understand how to tune your system!
these babies will blow your head off. i had a set JL audio components before, had to replace due to stupid water damage. i was a little weary at first, but after i installed them and pumped some rock, my jaw dropped. i couldnt believe it,.... not only did this 250$ set look as good as the 600$ jl audio but i also found the highs and lows to be clearer and louder, now just need to upgrade my amp. Rockford Fosgate is the shit.
