|hey robert martinez, read again about Alpine headunits. Alpine's snr is better than Sony. They are so much more high quality than Sony. Sony doesn't give you variable crossover like Alpine. Sony doesn't have military grade mosfet transistors like Alpine, Sony doesn't high volt preouts like Alpine. Sony doesn't have parametric eq's like alpine. anyways, you get the point.|

|All I can say is I am 35 and have been in the Car Audio game 15 plus years. I have always done my own installs and even took first place in comps. I never owened any Alpine Products..Fosgate, MTX, Sony, Kicker, Pioneer, and even Sherwood for you old school heads. But I just got these to throw in my Ford Explorer to run off a Sony CDX-900 (old) head unit and all I can say is WOW!!! VERY NICE, clean sound. Now wait for my other review to come soon. I just picked up from here all ALPINE (SPR-17C,SPR-17S,MRP-550) all going in my Tahoe...Kinda stuck between head unit choice right now...Sony or ALpine...Sony Has better SNR ratio and a few more features. But Alpine might win it just for consistency!!! ALPINE FOR ME HERE ON OUT!|
