well, ive owned lots of stereos, but i must say when i hooked up the new digital class d 1.600 watt amp to one 12" typeX, holy, holy, i dont know what else to say really, the fact that it actually can handle a bit more then that amp, i was gonna go with the 1000 watt, but 600 is nuts, my gains and settings on the amp, are between half way and 3/4 turned up, so it can pump more juice into that sub, but AWESOME, i wont get any other sub

I have one of these x type subs hooked up to an alpine mono V12 amplifier,and i have to say just having one subwoofer turns heads in the parking lot. This is simply the best subwoofer, its just soo accurate, and there is no distortion in the bass.
