I installed this amp in my Tahoe about a month ago. I'm running a set of diamond hex 6 1/2's up front. This amp is hooked to my stock head, and all the stock speakers are running besides the diamonds. I am amazed at how much this simple system slams. The cross-over on this amp is very flexible, allowing me to dial just the right amount of low's go to my diamonds. I'm just waiting for my jl stealth box to come in. This system will look stock, but kick some serious azz, when the sub is installed. I've run the Phoenix Gold Ti500.4, and would love to still use that amp. The Alpine amp is good but doesn't fall second to that amp. If you are looking at the Phoenix Xenon line, look elsewhere. This Alpine amp, is rated lower, but sounds 10 times better. It's worth a look, if size, and money are an option. You're not leaving much power or sound quality on the table, if any.
Great amp!! This 4-channel amp works great with my JL Audio speakers. It gives a nice boost!!.. And trust me, it's loud enough and great quality. Also, do not forget that the CABLES used make a big difference.
Definitely worth it!!! The price is ok but the quality is incredible. The clarity is off the chain!!! I have it temporarily hooked up to all pioneers on the inside. I will soon be changing all those for the type r interiors. Can't wait....
A friend had one of these and after hearing it I had to have one. It is by far the best amp I have ever owned. It puts out serious power, great sound, and is a bargain. Coupled with the MRV-605 it is a powerhouse combo with great sound.
