Let me start by saying that I have been a Kenwood fan for 10yrs. I have this amp powering 2 JL 12W3 and it hits hard as hell with the box being sealed. I plan on getting another 9102 and changing from JL 12W3 to 2 MTX 7500 15". I am pretty sure that I will get the response that I want from people. Way to go Kenwood!!
I have this amp running at 2 ohms pushing a 12" Kicker L7, and it pounds. The amp hardly gets warm! Great amp, great price.
This thing never overheats, gauranteed. Before it was stolen, it had so much power running at 2 ohms it could have beat anything on the block with my Infinity 12". This is better money value than any alpine by far.

this is a very good amp. Especially for the money. Provides a very tight and hard hitting bass. You will feel it in your chest with every note if you have decent subs. I had 2 12"s earthquakes and this amp could of blown the subs. This is why i bought some nice audiobahns.

This amp is a great amp for a type-r. I am running my 12" at 2 ohms and it hits pretty well. Very easy to work with and reliable so far. The only thing I do not like about this amp is that the gains are behind a metal faceplate. To adjust them you have to unscrew the plate or just keep it off altogether.
this amp says 850 at 2ohms well i have it pushing pioneer premier TS-3004spl and it gives it all of 1000 rms it makes my whole car moves sometimes i think it is going to shake my tires off and never even gets hot maybe a little warm but nothing close to hot
