This capacitor does what it should, and at a great price. Capacitor is built solid and constructed very well. Cable inputs are typical set screw compression types, 3 each (+) and (-) (2awg,4awg,8awg). 2 blue l.e.d.'s (very bright) on either side of voltage display which is also blue. The cap is self sustained with no remote display turn on, but the display and l.e.d.'s go to sleep after a period of inactivity. The mounting system has 2 lower mounts (2 holes drilled through each) for mounting which capacitor sits on top of, then 2 chrome straps hold capacitor in place. The mounting system does not hold very tightly around capacitor body, but easily fixed with some minor reshaping or addition of more foam backed tape. This capacitor takes up the room of roughly a little over two 1 farad capacitors side by side. The capacitor comes with allen wrenches and mounting hardware. What more can you ask for the price?!
I like the cap. I got two sony amps 1200 each and 4 Volfenhag 12's and they are very loud and the cap puts out a good amount of energy but not enough for me i think that two would for sure do the trick for me so i might end up getting another one.
well worth the money but was so dinged up when i recieved it almost looked used! other than that i have this cap hooked up to a hifonics 2200 watt mono block. my lights barely dim and my voltage drop is very controlled
this cap helped a lot i have a kicker 15 in kicker L7 and a kenwood 1800 watt amp befor i got the cap my voltageg would go down far enough were my cd player and subs would shut down the voltage meter barly moves with the cap well worth the money i only have a 105 amp altranater and my amp takes 70 amps continualsy and i have an optima yellow top no more power problems
I'm running an optima red top into this cap with a 200w 2ch amp pushing 2 audiobahn 6x9's and a a2300hct 2400w amp pushing an immortal series 15" sub. Prior to hooking up the battery and cap my lights would dim to nothing, immediatly followed by my system shutting down completly with the power drain. Now I'm steady pounding with "absolut"ly no light flicker or power drain at all. Quality product.
