I purchased this stereo in March 2006 and had it installed two weeks later. It is an EXCELLENT stereo for the price. That being said, if your looking for extreme bass, you can achieve it, but with a fairly high level of distortion. The SD slot is THE feature that makes this stereo an important advance in car electronics. You just pop in an SD card and it will play in the order you downloaded the material. Again, not alot of fancy folders and files to choose from, but it will skip 10 selections at a time. The USB port is ONLY for memory sticks. You cannot plug an MP3 player in through a USB plug. The only features that have disappointed thus far: in sunlight the faceplate is illegible - BOTTOM LINE. The clock is fairly difficult to set, but will eventually. Reattaching the removal faceplate is awkward - just be careful and take your time. In summary, I recommend this stereo to anyone looking for a good value and progressive features (SD SLOT, USB PORT, PAUSE FEATURE, CLOCK, and REMOTE CONTROL).
This Player is friggin awesome. I ordered one and it played great but would restart everytime I started my car. I never knew what time it was! LOL. Then it overheated and blew! Onlinecarstereo was very prompt with the replacement unit and the one I recieved first was probably just defective because the new one doesn't restart every time I hop in my car! Excellent price great value great sound quality for the price! Any it has USB ports! Forget fumbling through hundreds of cds Make a custom playlist o a flashdrive and you're set! As far as it goes, I was looking for a radio with a usb port. The fact that a 512 Meg gives me about 110 songs. I am in heaven. I did the install myself and was pleased. I did need to get 2 metric screws to fit from original holes in part of mount in a Hyundai elantra but it worked well. The remote is nice because you dont take your eyes off the road to change settings. I should have ordered the wire harness with the unit, it is definately a time and aggrevation saver. the display is dark in bright sunlight and here in Florida it is dark most of the time. Having to drop the face down is not a problem, leaves the face looking a bit nicer than that tell tale slot. I am looking foward to using the amp outs in the future. Over all I was overwhelmingly pleased. I recommend it highly
This head unit is very amazing, I have no major complaints besides the buttons are alittle too small. This is one of those products that you get more then your money's worth.
If you don't like carrying albums of cd's, this is the stereo for you. It would be nicer if the face plate was brighter. Radio reception isn't the best cause i can't get some of my favorite stations. All in all, it is worth every dollar.
This is actually the nicest deck I have ever owned. It has all the features you would ever need. USB, SD slot, and 5 volt preamps. The display looks really nice at night with the blue illumination. Also, it sounds excellent and has replaced my Clarion Pro Audio with extremely favorable results. Anyone who buys this deck will be pleased. You get what you pay for, and in this case you get a whole lot more. It truly is A BOSS.
