i had 2 of these being pushed by a 2000 watt mono block md sound amp (amp is really nice) in my 69 vw bug they didnt hit that hard in a sealed box so i made one ported for them and didnt sound any better i have 2 10's back there now in a down fire box and those hit way harder price is ok

I have one of these in a ported inclosure wired to a Crunch 1400 watt maxx amp. Both are supposed to run at 700 watts Rms, but I have the amp turned on half way, and though the sub performes well at med and high volumes for a little while it only seems to be able to do so for no more than 15 minutes. At that time it starts to give off that "Im going to blow" smell and I have to turn the volume down(that is, below 5). Its still a good sub for the price but your going to get what you pay for (a sub that has some power but will have to be constantly monitored to avoid blowing it).

this sub sounds good but its power hungry i have a 4000 watt cr4000.1 and it pretty much handles it all...for the price i would highly recommend this sub.
