allright this is going to be a long review but honest.for the price point these are the best speakers you can buy. I am a serious audiophile.been putting systems in my cars since 1988.these speakers pump out serious bass without clouding the mids like most speakers do.and do this without having to run 100watts rms to them.for a entry level price these things will pump some serious sound into your car. If you want serious sound but dont want to spend 150.00-300.00 for a pair for speakers that won't sound any better these are for you.one can buy these a set of hed69 and a alpine mrp-f240-250 amp to run them for under 300.00 bucks here and your car will jam.then you can run one or two hed subs with a alpine mrp-m350-450 amp and have a great sounding system.these speakers remind me of how speakers used to sound back in the eighties and early ninties(good).these days speakers are all chrome and looks and not what really matters.sound reproduction.the only other speakers out there that compare in sound are kenwood excelons at twice to three times the price.the cerwin vega amps are pretty good to but lack the clarity of alpine amps.these speakers matched to an alpine vpower amp produce excellent results for not a lot of money.trust me i have heard them all (JL,ALPINE,DIAMOND,INFINITY,AUDIOBAHN,POLK,ROCKFORD FOSGATE,BOSTON ACUSTICS,PIONEER,CLARION,AND KICKER)and i think these sound better!at a fraction of the price.dont get me wrong yes there is better sounding stuff out there but not under 200.00 bucksthem hook them up and listen for yourself'll discover what i learned a long time ago.cerwin vega has been around since 1954; they have learned something or two in that amount of time.
excellent design..watch the back spacing in door enclosures..these bad boys have some serious magnets and are built rock solid..they sound great with the head unit..but are begging for a little power.for true clarity they do exactly what they wre designed for! my customer loved them!
