After reviewing this amp. It is simular to the MTX 8100D. I got it pushing 4 12" Zeus Hifonic. With no problem and its not even turned up half way. Trust and beliee you will get your money worth.
amp is awesome actually pushes out 1069 watts @2 ohm so it really does the job
i orders this amp not noing if it was going to be good i have 2 12" boss audio outlaw 1800w rms 900 so i did not know if this amp was going to go the job but i freaked it up and this thing hits hard and the bass is not up all the way im now im in love with MTX and love to Online Car Stereo the best place for car audio no the web
good amp i have been using it for a mtx 9500 sub witch takes alot of power that amp is not really designed for it but it works the sub can take alot more power than that amp can give it tho i have only one complaint it likes to turn off when cranked for like 15 min
I bought one thinking MTX was as good as they used to be... I hooked it up to a JL 12W6 and about two hours later at a moderate volume,POOF! Some high pitch squeal then a huge ploom of smoke. Now I get to see how good MTX tech support is. Shoulda got a JL
My first amp was from MTX 8100D since then I have smoked a few sub's a L7 after a W7 lasted 3day after a long talk with the installer we found out that the amp was putting out way more then the 1000rms @ 2ohm's more like 1256rms @2ohms. Waiting for my W6's now I have to double team my amp with 2 sub's instead of the 1 setup I had going.
I bought this amp and I'll tell you it is not pumping 1000 watts rms. Thats's bologne. I have two tr75's and they didn't even budge. It's a waste of money trust me go with jl amps.Mtx is junk
Someone is obviously stupid and doesn't know how to match the Ohm tollerance of the sub to the amp to make it work right. vv

yeah i agree you got to get ur ohms right idiot i got one mtx 9500 on this amp and i out swamped 2 jl w7s on some big flashy amp that jl makes with one 12 in 9500 mtx jl is junk mtx has been around longer and made alot better than jl and ca hold up to more
Seems that all you idiots should be slapped with the very equipment your using! If you can't even spell, please don't try to sound educated enough to talk about equipment. It gives people that don't know whats up an illusion of knowing based off your idiotic assumptions. MTX, JL, and others are all very good equipment. When installing any of these products, contact the manufacturer, tell them what your doing with it and they will tell you everything you need to know to make them work beyond what you expected for as long as you own it :)
This amp is a great amp for somebody ready to take it to the next level from those begginner amps. I'm extremely happy with it. my only annoyance is that the bass, gain etc... controls are in a hard spot to get to when mounted. Got it hooked up to two infinity 700 watt rms subs in a ported box. running on 4 ohms and i had to turn the bass down cause my rear window almost shattered.
