First I will say that this unit gets all 10 out of 10 because this unit has a lot of features for the price that OCS is selling it other words this unit is extremely good for the price. Granted there are some things about it that are mediocre, mainly the screen. The screen is not only hard to see during the day, but also I feel that it is small and could have made it bigger as the opening is bigger than the screen it self. The other mediocre things about this unit would be the EQ, most users may not comprehend how to use it. Although it does have regular bass and treble sound adjustments. It also has plenty of X-OVER settings, and they are easier to use and adjust than the 3 band EQ. It also does not have the traditional FADE controls that most units have, but don't let that disappoint you that much. There is a setting called SPEAKER GAIN where you can adjust the FADE there. When you start getting deep into the more complex settings of the cd player, it can start to be uneasy to navigate through the menus. The last mediocre thing for me is the remote, I feel that it lacks for functionality. The pluses for this unit is its high tech look and feel. It seems a bit on the high tech side, but yet it is fairly simple to navigate in simple menus and settings. I personally like the SLIDE TRAK feature, however, there are people that do not like it. I also like how you can change the color of the display and the button color changes as well. The other things I like about this unit is its expandability. It is CeNET ready for multiple system expansions available from Clarion. Such as... DVD and CD changers, 3rd party OEM steering wheel remote ready, and Bluetooth® Interface Ready (Optional BLT370). The audio output is clean, powerful, and crisp. And when you plug in external 2 or 4 channel amps to power you're door speakers, there is an option to turn off the internal amp in the player itself. That being said, the 6 channel 6 volt rca preouts are a charm and provide plenty of output for you're amps. Now, I could go on and on about this unit, but I'm sure I need to keep this a bit brief. The bottom line is that this Clarion DXZ785USB is a fantastic head unit, and I am very pleased with it and its features. I am also pleased with it's price here at OCS. Feature packed, awesome sound, and great looking. YES I would recommend this deck to anyone! Plenty of "Bang for you buck" here!! Great job Clarion. Would I buy for more than one car...YES. Would I buy again and again...YES. Am I happy with it/my purchase...YES. Stop looking for decks here and buy now! Thanks OCS!!

this is a great cd player/digital media reciever specially if you are looking at hooking up an amplifier. the pre outs are outstanding, the only thing i wish they would change on this cd player is the screen and the way that they have the equalizer set up. the screen is hard to see in the day light and the equalizer is limited when it comes to customizing to your preference. but the sound quality is great it have it hooked up to 2 rockford power series amplifiers pushing 2 rockford t1's and the other is powering all of my infinity speakers and it sounds crisp and clear just how i expected from clarion. :)

Sounds great. X-overs are a breeze to setup and quick and easy to make adjustments. Time alignment centers the stage beautifully and brings the bass up front. Parametric EQ I haven't messed with yet but I'm glad to know it's there. As soon as I get set up for RTA I'll definitely be using the Parametric EQ for tuning. USB is great as long as you don't try and navigate the menu during the daytime. Interface is OK but the screen sucks a$$. Can't see it at all in the daylight. Do I really need to? Not really. Would I buy it again? Absolutely.
