Just installed 4-mb quart fka 116 in my boat,and they sound great. They are worth twice the money!! These speakers blow alpine type-s away and for the money you can't go wrong. I was a big alpine fan but not any more. Can't wait to try some of there higher end products. Thanks to online car stereo support for talking me into MB-Quart
these speakers are rated at 40w rms on the box from mb quart... Im unsure why they are rated so igh here....they sound average....definately not blowning away type-s....they are not terrible but are not very powerful
no deck made can put out the minimum rms these require, i have installed 1000's of mbquarts in my 13+ years and no one evr complains, but they are always amped! just because a deck says 4 x 50 doesnt mean you get 50 watts a real 4 x 50 amp is about 16"x10" hmmm never saw a deck that big :) put them on a 30 to 65 watt per channel amp like the crunch p900.4 or a hifonics txi4408 that is what we use for all the mbquarts unless a customer wants to spend more. trust me they will blow you away.
put these speakers in the four doors of my tahoe,big improvement over stock.my tahoe has a factory amp so they sound very nice.for the price i payed for them you cant go wrong.
WOW is all I can say. These are awesome speakers they so clear and crisp. I even orderin a pair for my wifes car.
I just bought these as a budget replacement for my Mazda MP5 rear door speakers. The speakers sound great, very smooth sound, and for the price you can't go wrong. The highs are crisp, and the mids are great. Obviously not bass monsters, but I highly recommend if you are on a budget and want high end sound!! Very Happy with OnlinecarStereo, my first purchase with them, and won't be the last.
