these are great speakers i have a jvc deck powering these in back and the s60's in front no amp.they crank.they also suprisingly produce good mid bass.the s 60's had to turn down the tweeter on x over but these 6.5 blend very well and sound great out of the box.you dont need to run 100watts rms to full range speakers.these sound great straight off a high powered aftermarket deck and get loud.i like full clean sound not over heavy bass or highs.with a single 8" g1 sub in the back powered by a cerwin vega stealth sx220.2 amp bridged this car sounds fantastic!well full bodied sound and very clean.

Man do these speakers know how to hit. Great sound at a great value! I have these in my 09 Impala with an Alpine deck. My volume goes up to 35 and I only have to turn it up to 18. Very loud speakers. Highly recommended!

Before you buy these, make sure they'll fit in the door without special bracketing, measure it out before purchasing if you're doing it yourself. It caused an inconvenient surprise in my '96 Tahoe's front speaker mounts, it's doable just not worth the time if you've got a second choice that'll pop right in place. It's got an odd mounting diameter that gradually leads to the edges of the bottom of the dust-cap and will likely cause it to be too wide. Have it installed by pros if it normally would take you over an hour to change the speakers, it may be untested waters that would handled correctly by a trained employee.
