For the money, you cannot beat this amp. Although I think it should push harder than it does, for this price you cannot beat it. I installed this in my Dodge Ram Quad Cab. I was trying to put together a low budget good sounding system. This is hard to do considering what room you have to work with. I am running it on 2 Cobalt 12" subs. They cannot handle it at full power. You are paying $100.00 for an amp that is rated at 600watts RMS. You cannot buy an amp rated at that for this price and get the quality of this amp. The bass knob is a great feature to have and I love it. I will upgrade later to the EV4000D when I buy higher power handleing subs. Over all I like the amp. I have had Boss and Power acoustik and the sound quality of this amp is just as good if not better. If you are on a budget and you want a good amp that is reliable, looks good, sounds good and is wallet friendly, this is a great little amp to have.
I read forums saying that these amps are trash. I decided for 100 bucks I'd give it a shot. I upgraded an old pioneer 800watt 2channel with this one on a pair of Kicker Compvr 10s. It slams and is very clean. I have not had a problem with this thing getting hot, even with it being under the seat. It has been great, and its pushing more then enough power to my subs.
This is the best lower price amp ive ever had. Have it wired to a ssl 15 for 2 ohms pushing 800-900 easy with a 2 farad cap, doesn't even get hot great discharge rate too, you can't beat it for $100.00 it's a steal.
Created enough power to push two 15 inch kickers with enough power do over load the sub. However the amp seems to keep its self from blowing up the subs. Have been using 12 inch MTX Thunder Sub from 1993 still hits harder than most of my friends subs.
this little power box kicks a$$. ive recently upgraded to the SS 5000w amp because ive got a new sub but i was running this little guy on a alpine type R 10" for over 2 years. never got hot, never blew a fuse and it pushes that sub like a boss. 600rms for $90? thats amazing. you wont find a deal like that anywhere else. its small for its size and has got all the features you need. just run it a 4G wire and ground and your set. i drive a small 280zx and people used to ask me how many subs i had. haha i love soundstorm. great product.
Yo. This amp rocks, or better yet beats (not the actual amp haha). but I love this amp. I bought it around JUNE last year (2012) and it has not given me a problem yet. This amp has been thru three sets of subwoofers. 1st a power acoustic 12". it was already old, I had that sub for about 6 years (i know right). but the 2nd set was 2-10" pioneers that was beating the block down. check them out. 3rd was one Kendwood 12". I have not tweaked the settings yet cuz that sub is not mine. Im looking for a 15" on this site. Not really worried about the type of sub cuz this amp will adapt to it.
Good sound quality. Good value. I have had this amp over a year and haven't had a problem with it overheating or anything. Would definitely reccomend.
