This head unit is pretty good. I got it powering some 5 1/4s and 6x9s (both type R series)and it sounds pretty danm good thought I was gonna need an amp but probably just use that for my type X sub comming soon
this is a great unit. it has everythjing u need as a consumer level head unit. the best features in my opinion are the built in blue tooth, it works flawlessly and for most phones u can dial and averything right thru the head unit. puts oiut good power to the speakers, im running alpine components all around and i didnt even need an amp, although this unit is compatible with the alpine power pack which puts out an extra 45w to each channel. the usb interface is great, and also the High pass filter, and tuning control for bass and treble make it easy to set up your system with a subwoofer, and not have distortion in your speakers. i cant say enough about this product and alpine also backs its product, there customer service was great when i called with a few questions. buy this head unit you will be glad you did especially at this price!

Bought to buy this but ????? From texas' I have a type x now previously having a type r before. The type x sounds great, have it powered by a Rockford 1500.1 bd. Just make sure u build ur box exactly how it says in ur type x manual. Being off the slightest bit will make ur sub not get it's full potential. Have had this sub for 4 years now and it sounds great. Thinking bought getting another
