I got one of these Pyle PPEQ200 equalizers at a good price of $79 open box return. Was skeptical at first but took a chance. It seems to be practically new and am surprised that has a decent audio section that does not add any preamp noise nor coloration when in equalizer mode. So very nice for that. The only thing I don't like about it are all the switch lights are way too bright. Especially the two blue ring lights around the level controls. The Spectrum analyser lights are okay and not overbearing but are more for show than anything else. This unit does the main job though of equalizing without adding coloration nor hiss nor hum that I could detect. So thumbs up (especially if you can find it at a cheap price like I did). I am not sure if this unit is supposed to have all twenty lights lit on the slider controls or not. The users manual that came with it says that all twenty slider control lights should be lit when the equalizer mode is enabled. My unit does not light up the slider controls~! So I don't know if this is a defect or if that is a typo in the manual and specifications. I saw the similar looking Audiosource EQ200 has lights on the 20 slider controkl knobs. Oh well, the unit works well for my purposes so I kept it. Oh, I could not detect nor find anything wrong with the way the switches feel or work on my unit. The swithes all work with a confident click and feel and no intermittent drop-outs as reported by other reviews I've read on these units. So your milage may vary. Mine is fine.
