First off this doesn't have a double DIN form factor. The actual size of the unit is single DIN in size with a double DIN face plate. So it's going to look ugly when the face flips down. If your dash has any kind of lip to it at all the face coming down will hit it your dash. I have yet to actually power it up because I can't get it mounted in my 04 Scion XB. I bought a Kenwood with a fixed face. The face hitting the dash is more of a con to the car than the unit but trust me unless you have no lip on the dash you'll be disappointed. I think it will fit in my Ford Explorer but I have yet to try. I was after a really extreme budget unit and I'm sure for the money if you can get it mounted it's a cheap upgrade. I hope it sounds better than it installs.
