Used for rear fill with xr570csi's up front(all 5x7's}.The cleanest coaxials I have ever heard with plenty of head room.Powered by a Eclispe PA5422 front and rear+ Kenwood KDC-MP925 head unit. You want clarity in a two-way?Look no further!
I was in search of the best coaxials that would fit my 02 Mustang without the need for adapter brackets (e.g. 6 1/2"s). Everyone that's into car audio knows JL Quality. Prices are rather high for this brand, but you know that 'ol saying, "You get what-cha pay for". That is true in this case as well. Clean highs, Thump'in Mids and Lows, and the attractive functional cross-overs finish 'em off nicely. Oh, if you are installing these speakers in a "free-air" environment be sure to pick up some XTC foam baffles for improved "boxed-like" sound and speaker protection from moisture etc. Finally, when people ask what cha got in the car (minus the subs) you have your bragging rights when arrogantly mentioning, "Yeah, I just got these "little" JL XR's... Muh-hahahahah.
Loud as hell, clean goes perfect with the jl 300/4 amp. the secret is to build a semi air tight fiber glass box behind each one or to throw another pair in boxes in the back of your truck bolth will give the same results. The thing is the crossovers take up room and you end up with alot of wires under your floor
If your looking for good sound quality in a coaxial speaker here they are. A+ I recommend to anyone.
