sounds great, strong mids
These are great speakers. They put out about the most clear sound I have heard. The best sound comes when they are well powered; the only reason for the 9 rating is becuase you might be let down if connecting to a stock deck, they need to be pushed a bit harder to reach near perfect, clear sound
Amazing. These Coaxial speakers have fantastic midbass and are very clear. These speakers begged to be pushed hard. I highly suggest amplifying them.
While I can't say they have the clearest sound I've ever heard, I will say that they are a great buy for the money. If you are putting these in the doors, don't... swivel tweeter only does so much. If you are putting in the doors, a higher location the better. Lucky for me my Bravada has a spot on the dash where I have the 4 inch Diamond M3's, and that really helped the imaging problem. I also have these in my rear doors where the mounting location is much higher, and they sound really good back there with out the help of additional tweets. One thing that is necessary when buying these is to amp them, amp them, amp them. My Alpine which is rated at 40W, realistically is only like 15W, so don't think that the bullshit in your headunit will push these properly. Before they were amped they sounded great at low and moderate levels, but as the knob went clockwise the headunit struggled to put out the good clean power they needed, and distorted quickly at higher volumes. Now they are amped, and all is good. I have always been a fan of silk tweeters, and not so much with the alloys, but these are still quite warm, and don't evoke any of the horrors I get from MB Quart and their titanium garbage.
