This sub is amazing. I have 2 in my car and the hit extremly hard. Loudest bass in the city. They also look very sleek and are very reliable. Must buy
This sub is one of the best on the market. I have 2 12W3V2's in a JL Audio sealed enclosure powered by a JL 500/1 amp in the back of a 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Limited. It pounds! Exremely loud and clean. Worth the money if you're serious about your system.
I have 2 of the old versions in a bandpass box. I haven't had anytime to build a different box. I have 140 watts going to each sub and theres still too much bass! But the sound is clean at any volume!!! I mostly listen to classic rock, and when you hear the kick drum pound, it sounds as if your right next to the drummer!!! Great Buy for the Kick A$$ Sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have 1 of these in my car right now. It sounds like 2 back there. Im pushing 300 - 400 to it.
I switched from three Alumapro's to two JL's and the sound is cleaner and harder, these are yet the best i've heard for this price range.
I have 2 12 W3v2's with a JL 500/1 mono amp, and this blows EVERYONE away in Sugar Land. People think they can knock hard with 2 15's or even 2 18's....yet i still win!!! This is a product for your own pleasure, and the pleasure of sounding out many other ppl.
I just put a second JL in my car and the bounce is fantastic. If it is on the CD, the JL will play it! TRUST ME!! Well worth the $Money$...

I have 2 12w3v2's hooked up to a Mono Block 500/1 JL Audio Amp. They kick like hell in my 04' Pontiac Sunfire! JL Audio is a Very expensive brand, but if you want the best you will get it!
What can i say.This speaker is one of a kind a bit pricy but its well worth.Very tight deep bass all the way.JL makes some of the best subs on the market. I have 2 of these hooked up to a punch551s and man its sumthin serious.
I've got 3 of these in my 98 Honda Civic, and they pound like crazy. I've had Kenwood 10s and Kicker 12s and neither are close to this in clarity or cone control. In a small box enclosure, they hit hard like a 10", but reach typical 12" lows. Excelon 2 channel bridged amp is powering mine. JL is worth every cent!
It only takes one of these to get my truck rocking, and thats in a sealed enclosure and 100 watts below its RMS rating. JL rocks, and imm lookin to add two more 12w3v2's in the HO box to my system.
i have 3 of these. 1st they were in my other car which was a saturn and they would make the windshield whipers bounce with the bass. they r now in my maxima. im only pushing them with the jl 500/1 but they r still louder than most people i know with bigger subs and more power. next i am getting a jl 1000/1 to push them. cant wait to see what that sounds like.
I have 2 of these in my 99 jeep cherokee and they bump. I listen to all srts of music from country to rap and they make any song you are listning to sound a 10 times better.
I have 2 of thiese bad boys hooked up in my extended cab s-10. they are droped into a custome sealed box. and are being pushed by a 1800w ma audio amp with 5 faride alumapro cap. they have the best sound quality you could ask for. and the sound great with some mids and highs by 2 pioneer 6X9's pushed by a 500w rockford fosgate amp. It is so much fun trying new systems out by instaling them all the time.
I got 2 of these and they got really good bass. My amp is only 600 watts max and they sound loud still. I drive a ford contour 1998 and it raddles the trunk like it will fall apart. I want to get a better amp and they will even hit harder. JL is one of the best subs out there. Must buy!!
This is clearly the best sub you can buy for it's price. It doesn't matter what kind of music you like. You will always have a very clean, smooth, and hard hit. Take my advice and the many others here and buy this sub. It won't let you down.
Actually i have a W3, which is an 18 inch, and two of these, so i'll do a review for both. The first sub i bought was the 18. My freinds are all about Rockford fosgate. No one beleived JL to have any boom. Im running a 500/1 amp to it which my frineds lauged at saying it wasn't that powerful. My freind started out by playing a bass song on his two 15 inch p1's, it was ok, but when i tunred mine on his jaw dropped. no comparison, and it may be an 18, but i had awesome clarity as well as bass. The 12's i added for some more fun and they have never fialed to disspaoint. Rock on JL.
I have two in a ported box hooked up to a 500/1. They hit pretty hard. Really clean sound, but when i really turn it up they start poping. Other than that no complaints. If u want the best u got to pay for the best and thats jl. Next i will be getting a 12in W7.
Awesome subs especially for their price. You need 2 to get their full effect. I used to haev one and then upgraded and it sounds so much better, you can really feel the subs in your gut and head. My friend has one w6 and my subs destroy his. Another friend has 2 w6's and that is the best system ive ever heard, it feels like someone is shaking you it pounds so hard. But as for my 2 w3v2's you can hear me coming before you can see me, it pounds that hard.
I have 3 12w3d2 in my lincoln ls in a sealed enclosure with 3.79 cubic feet of air space hooked to a audiobauhn 1200 watt mono amp at 1ohm but could only get them down to 1.3 ohms hooked parrell the subs are 300 watt countinuos 600 max i am pushing 363 watts to each speaker and these speakers will out perform any speakers in its class it hits like crazy will handle all beats you throw at it from rap to rock. Unlike the comp that just works well with one kind of music. I have owned all types of subs from rockfords to alpine to cerwin vegas to kicker to audiobauhn but jlaudio got me with the old w6 and i sold them and bought these 3 u cant go wrong jl is were its at
i just bought 2 of these to replace 2 memphis competition subs and right out of the box with out being broke in they hit harder than the mephis 12's i put them in a sealed box with a MA audio 4 channel 1200 watt amp goin to em and they knock there a must buy u wont find any subs this good for the price
I just bought 3 12w3v2's to replace my Solo baric L5 and these subs just kill it. the subs are in sealed custom made box and they pound so hard. Excellent buy, jl makes good stuff
i have just purchased two w3's and let me tell you that they are a lot cleaner than my former kicker comp vr's the get awesomly low and loud have them matted to a 500. I and it sounds awesome jl realy is the pinnacle in car audio
I got 2 12'' w3v2 in my ford contour. I recomend these to people who use just little amp power. these take very little power but still pound. I got 2 more and plan on installing them 2. I have them hooked up to a kicker 600.1 mono amp and plan on buying another one for the other 2. JL Rules!
these subs hit hard, i have 2 in my 97 z71, and im telling you i have never heard sound come out of a truck this good. if you love powerfull sound this is what you need!
i had 2 12"W1v2's before this with an e1200 and i'm here to say, spending an extra 300-400 at a preferred dealer blowout sale where everything was about 30-40% off, great deal. 2 12"w3v2's was well worth it, now i've got the 500/1, a very pricey amp but man do they hit, very good sq as well as spl, i have them hooked at 2 0hm, pro autosound and security installed all my stuff, my system sounds great, i have a jvc cd player, 5 1/4" rs6 crossfire components (just came out, great buy) the 500/1, two of these bad boys, and obcon godzilla 12" dual ported box, ported is the way to go with these subs, no bandpass, not good for lows, and also just to keep in mind, with the technolog of jl, a capacitor is not worth getting, waist of money, overall, 10 out of 10, i'll have these til i can get 2 of the 12" w3v3's they are so much louder, v2's are loud but v3's shook the whole pro autosound store
I have two of these in a large slotted box and let me tell you, WOW. I have them powered with a JL 250/1 and I have the loudest system around here, by far. It metered at 124.6 dB and I am proud for them only having one 250 watt amp. If you ever buy anything, make sure it has the JL printed on it and you will be satidfied.
Great subs. Very clean sound and a lot of power. It is expensive but worth the money.
i gots 2 of these boxed up and they are amazing. they arent the highest powered but they 4 sure hit. i am very satsfied with these subs for the overall price they are amazing
I have 4 12W3v2's in a Lincoln LS and the sound is unbelievable. I have a JL 1000 pushing them @ 2ohms and they sound great. I had them in a sealed enclosure of about 5 cubic feet and put them in a ported enclosure of about 7 1/2 cubic and there is a tremedous difference.
I have 2 12w3v2's in my 1979 z28 camaro and their louder and clearer than the pipes under the car. They are absolutely amazing for every purpose u can have for them
