these arent as nice as the type Rs but they still produce some good bass and have little distortion when they are played loud
they have great bass, but thats all they have... I have two of these in the back doors of my explorer and they shake the doors but the highs arent there, im going to put in type R's this summer
great speakers! Has very crisp highs and good lows. These pump i had the music so loud once and all of a sudden the music became almost muffled, i thought i had blown the speakers. but when i turned the music down and i was cursing cuz i thought id blown em i realized it was my ears! And that really scared me my ears had like popped or something! these are well worth it.
These speakers are great! When I run these w/o my sub they provide a rich sound with good highs/mids and some surprisingly good base. They can handle a lot of juice before they distort. Check the sensitivity, it's one the highest out there. Unless you're competing, save some money and forget the type R's.
These are some good speakers. I had them hooked up to my pioneer headunit alone and it sounded good. Later I bought a 4 channel amp for them and it improved sound quality greatly. These speakers sound awesome with rock, but do not handle rap as well. The bass is good, but if you are buying the speaker just because it has good bass, you might not be happy. A small subwoofer might be a better option.
