Product Reviews For MB Quart PCE-216

  • I bought a pair two weeks ago. These are the cleanest set of speakers I have ever owned. And I have owned infinity, alpine and boston acoustics.By far the best sounding bass and treble. A must have.

  • Need a sufficient amount of amp power to get full quality from these speakers.

  • These are some of the best components i have ever owned; being compared to Alpine type-X, Infinty Perfect, Polk MOMO, and the Focal Polyglass. I am running them with a JL Audio 300/2 in a 03 maxima and they sound AMAZING...

  • For the price, I don't know what more you could ask of a speaker. I've got the fronts set up as components and the rears as coaxials; one of the most flexible designs I've seen. Very crisp without being sterile or harsh. They need a good deal of power to get the good solid midbass they're capable of, but it's worth it. Don't skimp on the amp! If you like rock and metal, check these speakers out.

  • ...a little something worth mentioning. The crossover comes with six seetings- odb thru -6db. Unless you like your treble very very bright, I recommend the lowest setting. Most people, who complain about MB Quarts, never took the time to set their crossovers.

  • These speakers are awesome - The highs are so clear and when I boost them it really cranks out the sound. I enjoy lead guitar the most in my listening (Jimmy Page, 707, VanHalen, Eric Johnson, etc.) and it sounds like a Marshall amp is playing in your car. A must buy, better than Alpine, Boston, MTX, Infinity, etc. Worth every penny.

  • Had these in a 2003 Mazda Protege5 for my front staging and have to say never heard such clear and crisp highs. I am a big bass head so needed some loud clean speakers and these where the ones. I wish the where a little cheaper but hey, cant go wrong with them. A must buy for any audiophile.

  • I recently purchase a pair and not even a week has gone past and one of the tweeters just fizzled the components were crossed over at 3db listening at low volume it just died. I believe I just got a defective one because the all other components are running great. Aside from that these are an excellent pair of components.

  • This speakers have to be use with the best car audio components to achieve high performance. I have an Eclipse head unit and JL audio amps. All together, I get a warm, natural sound.

  • I have 2 pairs of these in my suv, with clean power these babies scream very loud and crystal clear. That price is a steal for the quality of these speakers.

  • I just got a pair of these in my 01 Tahoe with 2 way alpine type R in the back doors. I have a JL Audio 300 x 4 (75rms @ 4ohms X 4) Very tight and clean. Cant wait tell they break in. Bought a Alpine 9856 to run this system with my Ipod Nano. Was thinking of buying one more pair and throw it in the back doors, because my local stero shop ran out of these. You would not be sorry you bought these, but make sure you buy a AMP min 75RMS or higher.

  • These Speakers are awsome. I am feeding them 105watts RMS and they can take a lot more! Be sure to get the add on mid-bass component!

  • I give this a 10 for the value of the product and the class it is competing with. I just hooked them up today and they sound awesome. I also recomend setting the tweeter at -6 db to get a more natural sound. You definately can crank these babies up and they keep their warm clean sound quality. Im waiting for them to break in but they allready sound amazing, i am crossing them over at about 80hz. I had cdt audio before and let me say if you install them correctly and cross them over correctly you will not be disapointed at the quality. they compete with speakers at higher levels. Im going to be comparing them with the reference line shortly and will have to post the results.

  • These speakers are very loud. I've got 100w per channel to them, and they are very loud, and crystal clear. These speakers were the best buy of my entire new system by far.

  • I'm running these off an Alpine MRV-F435 amp - they're receiving ~86WRMS. These sound absolutely incredible! With properly sound deadened doors (I used dynamat xtreme), the midbass kick is fricken unbelievable!!! I don't have a subwoofer yet so I have them high passed on 50hz - the bass capabilities have to be heard to believe, you BARELY need a subwoofer!! The highs and vocals are so crystal clear when you crank them!! These are truly amazing sounding speakers - they have an inviting, clear, warm sound even when pushed to the limit. I'm now a huge fan of MB Quart!!!

  • we replaced the stock speaks in my bros gmc duramax with these components and ran them with a pheonix gold 4 channel 400 watt amp at 100 watts a side the absalutely scream!! the vocals come through clean and uncracked even with a grunge tune like follow the leader by korn harsh guitars like what you experience with disturbed are no match for these components if you want a set of high quality speaks that you can feel in your chest while rockin hard or maybe you just want not to miss every detail of your favorite classical mozart and dont wanna spend alotta cash then these are the ticket!! Try them out youll be glad you did!!

  • These are unbelivable. I hooked a pair of these up to my jbl gt 4 ch amp. Then I bridged them to 2ch. Overall I could send them 284 RMS, but the gain is tuned perfect. I listen to trance alot so brilliant highs are a must. These are crystal all the way up to there 130 RMS rating, maybe more. You must buy these if you can fing them. A+++++

  • Excellent speakers, I got them 2 years ago, still going awesome. Originally I hooked them to Apline F545 only for fronts and they were insane. They are very power hungry. Lately in another car I have hooked them up with Alpine F345. Still pretty good. Since then I have used Focal K2's and Boston SPZ60 but MB's are still value for money and has got it's distinctive warm and natural sound. The high's are very good, will match any good speaker for quality. A handy tip is that they are very power hungry and you will enjoy it more if the car is fully sound dead. Came across all the below reviews as I wanted to purchase another set for a friend and to show him how good they are? It was nice to see that all you guys appreciate the quality of these speakers. As they are not available anymore, can someone suggest any speakers as an alternative?
