  • One of the only receiver/CD players on the market that doesn't LOOK ridiculous. I don't want a light show - I want a good-sounding radio. The Sony delivers. Impressive ouput from the internal amps and the sound controls are pretty good. The DSO function seems gimmicky but it does improve sound quality in some situations. My only two complaints are that the remote control is REQUIRED to access some of the functions and that the clock display is way too small when the radio is in operation.

  • Ive had this cd player for 3 months and it was an awsome cd player when i first got it. After about 2 months it started to have problems which i still have today. I wouldnt suggest this product, but it dose have some sweet features. If you have aftermarket speakers (i do) the dso feature is sweet. The display on the player is the best i have seen from a $200 cd play I dont have subs so i dont know about that area. Overall this is not a cd player i would recommend buying because of the problems i have had.

  • Accidentally posted a review on the wrong model. This is the one that I have. I've owned 4 sony car cd players and this is the best one yet. I only get sony cd players because they're so damn easy to use. One of the best features is the High pass filter, which keeps the sub frequencies from going to your speakers. Utilizing it lets you really turn it all the way up. Another great feature is the DSO, which dramatically raises up the music, you really have to hear it to believe it. I've been in rides with component speakers that require seperate amplifiers, and my ride is just a loud with this player and 4 six/half inch high end coaxials. The highs are crisp and scream, and the low bass goes only to my subs. Basically, if you want a great stereo that is super easy to use and tune to your liking, this is it. I plan on keeping it for as long as I have my car, and will continue to buy sony cd head units.

  • This is a really great Deck. The sound quality is no doubt phenomenal (as it is with ALL sony decks). The problem i have is that i usually am listening to MP3 cds. Now if you dont listen to MP3 cds this does not affect you. But if you do, be aware that when the deck gets hot, often MP3 cds skip. Not all the time, but often. But never does a regular audio CD skip (which 99% of you will be using). Besides that problem this player is an A+ guaranteed.
