Product Reviews For Pioneer AVIC-N1

  • i just got this unit the day it came out and it's awesome. you can put in the navi dvd, select your destination, and the units built in memory will save the info. even a 10 mile radius of your route including gas stations reseraunts, atm's ect. then take the navi dvd out and put in a cd or dvd and rockeven has a split screen so you can view your map and control other sourcse from the touch screen. check out the avic-n1 web site for all the features. it's worth every penny.

  • was probably the first to get this unit in houston. paid a pretty big price for installation and all but it was well deserved! not a bad little unit at all! prior to this, i had all alpine. didn't like the different pieces i had to buy for the alpine to have Nav and DVD and MP3. So glad pioneer made everything in one! too bad Alpine didn't come out with this sooner. Sold my Alpine for this and have no regrets!

  • Nav system has only a few quirks. More internal memory would be great when removing nav. disc to play audio of video. Miss the HD feature of my GM BOSE. Sound quality equal to factory premium radios. Over all mixed feelings. If nav is all you need go Delphi and save the $

  • This thing is awesome. I just had it installed into my navigator and let me tell you, this thing does it all. The gps is so accurate and it can find almost any business you can think of. I was between this unit and the kenwood kvt-915dvd for a while and I am glad I chose this unit. The navigation alone makes this unit worth every penny. Only bad things I could find were that it has a 6.5" screen (looks good still) and they dont make a remote for it yet. Other then that if you are considering purchaseing this, DO IT!!! You wont be dissappointed, I sure am not!!!

  • I got it installed on my 2002 sequoia last week. I LOVE this system. It is really cool and the built in memory navigation system is sweet. I would ask anyone to buy it if you don't mind spending little cash. it's all worthy!

  • overall it rocks, soem of the streets are not int here yet, the map i sliek 4-5 years old, also the fan itself makes a lot of noise. i returned it twice, and teh 3rd one did not make noice but when im driving if i turnthe vol down, you can still hear it humming. other then that its a really cool idea, i desighned my own graphic desighn and put it as a back ground, and you can do a lot of programing and switch menues if you know how to hack the system and change the way soem of the menues look. otehr then that its awsoem, soem say they dotn have a remote, but it does, i wished the screen was a bit bigger, i had oen that was 7 inches, and now its a 6.5 so its really small if i had a to make the choice again. i would have got two different unites, a touch screeen monitor with built in dvd, cd, mp3, and a navigation unit.. overeall, if you want a new toy that will talk to youa nd you can talk to it with voice recidnition, then go for this prduct

  • well i found that the sound quality was alright but the pictures and graphics are interesting and fun but can get distracting after a while overall i think that the money paid really isnt all that worth it also the screen is rather small. But this unit has great functionality and dependable navi system.

  • Overall it's great. Installed in H2 Hummer w/ 12 cd disk changer, rear view camera, JL 500/1 and 12"W6 sub. Nav system works great, but can't search residential phone numbers.

  • After installing the unit myself, I have much greater respect for it. After hocking it up in to my cars speed sensor, brake light, backup light, and speakers, along with mounting the brain of the unit under my seat it wasn?t hard at all. I think of it as an expensive toy that I can play with while waiting in traffic. Definitely improved my sound system. Really like the different viewing modes.
