I install car stereos, and i think that hifonics subwoofers, speakers, and amps are the best product for their value. You get alot for your money and they last long.
Has anyone ever told you, " It's all in the details."? Well I must say that has to be a common saying around the hifonics/maxxsonics R and D department. If your not familiar with Maxxsonics, they are the folks who manufacture and distribute the Hifonics line of speakers and amplifiers, the mb quart product line, crunch, and the venture for this last year autotek. The silk dome tweeters are very subtle but clear. Details and nuances in music come alive. It is now possible to depict individual instruments in the sound stage, and little details that are included by the recording artist such as a very faint fret buzz on a guitar or the sound of fingers rubbing across the strings of a bass or guitar. The overtones on cymbals crashing is exhilarating not to mention the high definition of sound that leads one to actually picture a drum set and the artist's location while playing within the soundstage. They are very clean sounding, crisp, musical speakers. With great reproduction of warm human sounding vocals. These speakers are power hungry, however and at a 87db spl it doesn't seam to take much power to really make them kick. The overall design is cosmetically pleasing, but above that I would recommend the sound quality. The speakers seem to have a very tight "Q" which results in VERY controlled cone movement for reproducing the finer details and nuances of your music. I listen to a wide variety of music; from Eminem, to Natalie Cole, DRE, Tory Amos, Godsmack, , rippingtons, dave brubeck, sade, and old school stuff and as of just tested I am very pleased. I build home audiophile speakers as a hobby, so for me to be impressed really takes allot. highly recommended
