Product Reviews For Kenwood Excelon KAC-X521

  • This amp is rated at 1000watts peak and 165 x2 RMS... I think thats a bit underrated, I just blew up a 800rms/2000watt peak power 12" Premier competetion sub in minutes with this thing... I mean HOLY GEEZ does it put out alot of power! Thers one thing I found misleading about this amp is that when i got it, the digital display was not working - so i had to unscrew all the allen key screws (easy, but why keys?!?) and switch the CONT switch to ON... anyway! overall wicked amp! also runs a little hot, when i blew my sub it was reading 50*C which seems boiling

  • I got this when my 2-channel 800 watt Legacy Red seriers burned up. This puts it to shame. It puts out some serious power, blowing both of my KFC W3005 subs in a experiment gone wrong. This is a terrific deal for the price, i have a friend ordering it bc he likes it so much

  • This amp is everything that it says it is, plus a little more. I have this hooked up to 1 Audiobahn AW122N and it bangs like you wouldn't believe. Thought it might not be the coolest lookin amp you've ever seen, it sure does make up for it with its proformance.

  • Its too bad that it cant run at 1 ohm (overheats almost instantly), i have it running my 1000w kenwood excelon sub, and i have to keep the gain way down to keep from blowing the thing... thing kicks out a lot of juice

  • This amp gives very good bang for the buck! I tried to put it to my 1200watt kenwood excelon 12 and it blew within minutesw I have it pushin two 600 watt audiobahn 12s and it hits pretty nice. It occasionally overheats but it makes up for that with is power output!

  • WORTH IT!!! I got one used and, its great. I've had it hooked up to one RF P3 4ohm 12" and it flex the quarter pannels. Now i have it hooked up to 2 kicker comp 8ohm 15" and its a beast. Both setups i've had the amp bridged and it NEVER RAN HOT. So if yours runs hot try wiring your speakers parallel(most power) or series(less power).
