Product Reviews For Kicker 04S12L7-2

  • these subs are ridiculous, i have two of them in my jeep, and i can be heard and felt from blocks away. make sure you get good interior speakers (and amp them), b/c the bass will over power stock speakers.

  • These subs is going to be fantastic in my grand prix gt because of good trunk space. I was running two mtx 6000 subwoofers and they hit but just wasnt enough. I had a mtx 502 amplifier on them and they rocked for there size and power. I dont believe there is many out there that can beat mtx and kicker subs and amps.

  • i got one in my dakota running off a mtx 1501d with a 3 farad capacitor and a speacialized subzone box made for the l7 and you put some little john in the cd player and its enough to give a full back massage and bass that can make your ears bleed, ohh and yeah girls love the vibrations!

  • Great hitting subs. Have two of them in my SI. But only problem is that voice coil keep busting, because they are not well made for high performance amps. Get the Solo X if you can afford it. L7 and L5 are overpriced.

  • these subs perform amazingly. the dealers one was as lound as my three 12CVRs (which are a monster themselves!) that i had in my car and i had a bigger amp, the KX 800.2!! you'll save more money in the long run by going with these subs, guarenteed!

  • I am using a Hifonics BX 1500 to push two Kicker 12 L 7's in my 2004 Grand Am. These things slam! I have them in a ported box and I can't be any happier with my sub's.

  • I had 2 of the L7's in my Toyota Camry and 2 Power Acoustik 980/2 pushing them. It was 560 watts RMS to each woofer and I hit 142.9 Decibels. I just bought a third woofer and a Cadence ZRS-10. My car just got hit by some guy that failed to Yeild right of way. But I believe that I could of broke 150 decibels. The ZRS-10 puts out 2500 watts at 1 ohm RMS and I would have been running at 1.33 ohms, a little over 2000 watts I'm guessing. A big word of advice to anyone buying these things. When they say to (break) them in for two weeks, listen to what they say because I fried two within two weeks. I would break them in for three just to be on the safe side. Believe me though, once broken in, they can handle anything less than 1000 watts RMS unless your power suipply is insufficient

  • I don't think anything has been left out with this woofer! If this is what 750rms sounds/feels like, I don't even want to know what the SoloX's 5000rms is like! I have them matched with Kicker SS Series Components in the front, and SS series 8" midbass drivers in the rear, A perfect match might I add. A+++

  • Hit sweet for the money, but like most people don't know about kickers is that you need about 1 week at quarter gain, then for the next week half gain. Thats why when people say they blow the speakers there is the reason. After that period rock out.
