I bought these speakers from a local dealer for $250 (2 pairs).Nebraska Furniture Mart installed them for me and a MTX 564 amp.Those incompetent fudge packers messed up the inputs on my 564. I was only getting 3 speakers working and they still sounded GOOD!I listen to R&B,Slow Jamz and Smooth Jazz for the most part. I had to ship my 564 amp back to MTX myself since Nebraska Furniture Mart would simply not help at all AND I bought the amp from them.They did not back up their products OR their installation.The only thing they did NOT damage was my MA Audio 6829's.Even with 3 speakers working an amp really brings out the mid-range of these speakers.Even when the gain was turned up NO distortion at all.These are very light speakers BUT,perform flawlessly. I was going to get Focal but WHY? These speakers sound as good as my Bose wave radio CD player.Very clear . I plan on getting MA Audio HK120XC subs to go with my speakers. I have a Memphis 1000D for the subs.All this in a 98 Explorer. If you are looking for an inexpensive speaker that has mad sound quality and one that you can install yourself then this is what you want to have. I bought my wife a Lincoln LS that has a Alpine six disc player and Alpine speakers.My MA Audio 6829 speakers sound just as good.With these speakers I do not have to cut up my car and have some stupid idiot "professional" from a place like Nebraska Furniture Mart mess everthing up.Sometimes you get more than you paid for. I certainly did with these speakers.
I got my MTX amp back from MTX.My partner hooked up the amp and no sound from the left rear speaker.We took off the door panels and discovered that Nebraska Furniture Mart did not put the inputs in right.We cut about a half inch of wire exposing more wire then the speaker was blasting.The prices that I see on this website are THE very best I have seen for these products.My MA6829 speakers sound smooth and the mid-range is solid and the highs are clear.$ 189. for a MA Audio HK120XC sub is outstanding. I plan on getting 2.
I am thoroughly pleased with these speakers they put out enough bass to match a small sub of course you need to have the right equipment, i went out on a limb and bought MA 5.25 and this 5X7 and they both are way above a high standard but please be warned at a high volume get some dynamat because these will somewhat shake your car/truck/suv and with a good sound system you dont want any rattling but these are very good speakers and at a cheap price Online Car Stereo rocks
