Product Reviews For MA Audio HK800D

  • I just replaced the Audiobahn Amp I was using to drive a 12" tube. Boy what a difference, MA Audio kick butt. The Audiobahn was 400x1@ 4ohms and only 560x1@2ohms. The MA Audio gave me much more punch than the Audiobahn did at a 4ohm load. I also used the MA Audio to power an Audiobahn Aluma Q 12 and the bass was much tighter than with the Audiobahn amp. Overall This is one great amp. Looking forward to my next MA Audio amp. Grast service from onlinecarstereo.

  • I recently bought this MA amp for my JL 12w6. Bad move. I mainly listen to rock. The sound is muddy and there is very little punch. I am running a PPI pcx480 for my component speakers. Just to see, I bridged two channels of my 480 into the sub. Sounded WAY better. Its only 320 watts @2 ohms. If this amp is 800 watts, it is a distorted 800. More like a muddy 400...maybe. Might be good for rap. Gotta stick with PPI, JL, etc...
