Product Reviews For Alpine CDA-9851

  • i like it alot. i just wish the sub output had a cross over. i have an old ab amp with no crossovers on my sub. but, most of you out there with sub amps have crossover in them.so it will do till the 9855 comes out.

  • This is a Great deck for the price, but the downside is it says its I-Personalize, but the Software doesn't support the deck.

  • I liked the 9851, it loud as hell with just a factory speaker system and no amps! its has ajustable bass and 4 frequencys, adjustable treble, and it was moterized. it came with a tiny remote, but since i have a 2002 toyota solara the deck is nicely upfront and the Cd player mounts instanly on either Toyota or nissan's factory deck harness

  • This is an OK unit. Its not a unit you would want to install if your vehicle requires you to put in a cage. For some odd reason the Tilt on mine doesnt work anymore. The installer said that it is because of the cage. The display could've displayed multiple things at the same time like TIME and TRACK NUMBER, rather than either or. I love this head-unit but it is not what I want. I want the Alpine IV-D310.

  • This Deck is awesome! I have this hooked up to a factory speaker system in a 86' Honda Accord and it sounds great. I also have a wal-mart- amp and sub hooked up in and let me tell you for the price and brand it thumps!!!

  • This is a solid unit. Sounds good and tons of power. The bass engine is awsome. I'm lookin at some infinity kappas to put in cuz this head is blowin my factory speakers w/ the volume at 18> out of 35!!! Chrome/silver accents look great w/ my charcoal interior. I just wish it had more volt options 4 subs and a filter but for under $240 this deck is prime.

  • I just popped this baby into my SUV. I had a outdated JVC in there and this Alpine puts it to shame. The sound quality is far better and the bass engine works great. I really like how easy it was to use the menus and the equalizer. Overall I am very impressed and I can't wait to hook up a few amps to this deck.
