I HAVE 2 OF THESE IN A HIGH OUTPUT BOX AND I'M PUSHING IT WITH A 851S ROCKFORD FOSGATE POWER AMPLIFIER.THEY SOUND VERY GOOD,BUT SINCE I'M SUCH A CAR AUDIO PERSON>>I ALREADY AM GOING TO UPGRADE>>AND I'VE ONLY HAD THIS SYSTEM FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS.THEY HIT HARD,BUT I WANT MORE BASS>SO IM GETTING 3 12W6'S THIS TIME.
What sets JL Audio apart from the rest is sound quality by far. I had two 15 Kicker compVR in a sealed box. Two of these hit harder than my old 15's. Tho I do have these in a ported box, the sound quality does not even compare. Worth the price for sure.
i have three of these in a ranger and i play fast double bass action and i make other people go and get better subs becuase they love the way these sound very wearth it cant compare to anything else nothing even comes close
JL Audio is very expensive. I have a 500/1 amp and it was pushing 2 infinity subs, which i got for about 50 a piece, and although i was over powering the subs they sounded pretty good until one of them blew. So then i went to kicker hearing one of my friends L7 and damn can that thing hit. Kicker is a great brand and has a very good product but when i heard 2 of the 12w3v2's i was in heaven. This sub is crisp where the L7 was just loud. Crisp, clean, loud bass was my goal and i accomplished this with two of these subs in a sealed box. I can garuntee that two of these will be louder thatn an L7 anyday. The crazy thing is that there are two subs that are even better than these and those are the w6's and 7's. If you have enough to power any of those subs than you will seriously have the best system around. I hope to one day have the 1000/1 amp and two 13 inch w3v2's. If you have a 500/1 get two of these things you will blow your brains out and love every second of it with smooth, clean, ground shaking bass.
Have 2 of these in my car with an xtant 603x amp, the combination is mind numbing. These subs can really rattle your brain with the right setup. These subs are also very durable I have had them for about 5 yrs now and they are still running strong and clean
i have 2 of this in my cilica gt and thay hit alrigth my lighter gose out when the bass hits in my car. good SQ but id buy more the upper end of JL audio like 2 W7s or 3 W6v2s
I got two of these subs in a 94' Grand Am in a H.O. wedge box hooked up to a pioneer 760 watt 2 channel amp and in hit so hard it knocked the brake cover off my brake lights. Heavey hitting bass for 12's.
If you are looking for clean sounding bass without using alot of Watts JL Audio is your answer i have 2 12W3V2 and i beat all my friends systems, no one comes close to the deep crystal clear bass these subs put out.
I have only one of these subs in the back of my Stratus. It sounds great! I don't even have a great amp pushing it, and it hits pretty hard and VERY clear. I've have been playing around and installing car audio for about 10 years, gone through about 10 different systems...and you get what you pay for. Hands down JL Audio is THE BEST quality on the market...why do you think they don't have to advertise at all. Grab two of these, pair them up with a good Rockford Fosgate amp(also top notch) and the right size box, and you will hear the difference between your system and your buddy's!!!
I have 6 of these in my nissan 350z powered by 6 rockford fosgate amps and the first ten minutes that i had thses installed not only did i blow out the back window i did the same to the smaller side window. I suggest lining your car with dynamat also. when i krank the music you get sick to your stomach. BY FAR THE BEST BRAND IN THE WORLD!! JL.
I have two of these hooked up in a Nissan 300zx hooked up to a 1500 watt audiopipe amp. n these things def. pound i def dont have any regerets goin with JL there by far the best company out there
I have 2 of these with their perfect match the jl audio 500/1 amp. They sound great and can get very loud. They hit the lows great for 12's. Their louder than a single 12" rockford T2 that i have listened to before. I recomend them with a 500/1 amp.
I also have 2 of these hooked up to there perfect match 500-1. these subs sound sooo clean there is no distortion at all, its nothing but smooth, low, pounding excursions. JL is by far the best out there they are ahead of all the other brands. def recommend the 500-1 amp with these. do not be fooled by the amps rms it can drive any subs to the limit no matter how large.
I got one of these in my 95 camry with a rockford fosgate P2502 bridged amp and this thing hits HARD!! jl audio is the best mobile car audio company on the market! period!
Finally my turn, I own a 2002 DTS Cadillac.. I have 4 12W3v2-2 along with 3 Crossfire Amps. 2 402,and 1 305 for all crossfire interior speakers plus 4 cross fire tweets...JL Rocks evrything in and around me! These subs hit! Thanks JL,Crossfire not to mention MO the best car stereo installer!
i got 3 of these bad boys on the jl 500/1 killer bass speakers just wont stop. my i suggest jl 1000/1
I have two 12's in a factory sealed JL Audio box in a Mercedes e320, powered by a Sony Xplod xm-sd51x RMS's at only about 300 watts and it STILL pounds. I especially love the way these subs can hit those lows clearly and get loud and still maintain its SQ unlike other woofers that can just get loud but sound like crap. Im very excited to upgrade with a JL 500/1 man these babies are going to pound.

I have two of these in a chevy tahoe powered by a alpine 600watt amp and my box is tuned at 32 hertz and these things hit hard. What so bad is that my amp is only 1/2 way up!
I HAVE 2 OF THESE SUBS IN A 2004 LINCOLN NAVIGATOR,AND THESE BAD BOYS BEAT THE BLOCK. I GOT THESE HOOKED UP TO A 1000 WATT MONO BLOCK AMP.HAD THEM FOR 2 YEARS NOW AND THEY'RE STILL GOING STRONG. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ALL YOU BASS LOVERS.

i have one of these in a 2.5 cu sealed box and its nasty loud for 1 12. Its currently hooked up to a kicker kx 700.5 on the sub amp only pushing 300rms right now as i have the gains all the way down.deff buy this sub its well worth italso hits every note beautifully.
wow 2000 deville dts I always been a kicker man cvr 12's are awesome but will blow just like that I have the memphis mcd 500 on 2 jl 12w3v2 i had to take a second look in the back thought i had a suv the hit so hard can not see out rear view at all immediately turned the amp down to half way and every light i get to people roll up their windows
