  • This is a great amp with some real nice power. I got it hooked up to two 12" JL W3s and they can really hit. I don't even use all the power and my trunk sounds like it is going to explode (need some Dynamat). Overall, great amp.

  • Damn, I'll help you guys out. I have one audiobahn 12" connected to this. I think its the AWS125T, all I know is my subs rated 400rms and 800max... When you switch ur volage meter from 8.0v to 0.1v the power to the sub increases. To give you an idea, I have a alpine cda-9851 and had the volume on 5. My sub was about to explode when the voltage was on 1.0 and my capacitor (which is 1.2) kept going into warning mode (that's when the voltage on the cap drops below 10.0). If your gonna get this amp you wont be disappointed, HOWEVER make sure you have the RIGHT sub for it. The alpine type r is the way to go. Its 700rms and 1500max. Make sure our rms is at LEAST 600+ because this amp pushes out 600 in 2ohm and 400 in 4ohm. If you get a low watt sub and hook it up to this beast, itll bounce up and down like girls gone wild then pop like a teenage pimple. BTW.. need 4ga wirin. I suggest Tsunami, its what im usin. Also u need a cap. My headlights dim with the shitty audiobahn, so cant imagine what its gonna do with a type-x 12. Happy holidays!

  • First of all, the smaller your car is, the louder the bass gets. I have 2 of these pushin two type R-12 4 ohms DVC runnin 2 ohms each in my SUV, im still SLAPin hard. The Power and sound quality are better than I expected from this amp. I drive for hours everywhere but never had trouble like overheating or any malfunction. I suggest that you also pick up a good capacitor and a real radar detector if you pick this amp. I guaranteed that you will be certified by a cop with a ticket if you dont watch out.

  • Great amp, currently running it to a kicker s10l5 and it pounds! I love this amp and would recommend it to everyone. Im switching to a JL 12W7 =), so hopefully it doesn't have a problem pushing a REAL sub. Excellent buy.

  • I just bought this amp and hooked it up to one alpine R12 in a sealed box. It hits hard and sounds very clean. there are many adjustments that can be made on the amp, and it is all digital. sounds great, good size, looks cool, great price. make shure you get a sub to run 2 ohms to so that you can get the 600 watts but be shure the speakers can handle it. my speaker moves like crazy! Buy this amp.

  • Great little class D amplifier ! I have this hooked up to 2 ( SWS - 1022D dual 2 ohm ) subwoofers. I just had to take advantage of the 600 rms ( total ) / 300 rms ( split between the two ). I have this mounted in a custom 1 cu feet box for each sub ( 2 cu feet / split ). This amplifier was so easy to hook up and I downloaded the 2 ohm wiring diagram to hook it up properly, after installing and breaking everything in easy, I fine tuned the ( all digital ) controls under the access panel and this combination hits really nice and is very clear throughout the audible range(s). I really love the clean lines the semi-hidden hookups and I haven't had any problems with overheating or learning the adjustments. This amp is very easy to hookup, fine tune and enjoy. Other than the screw down access panel, I LOVE IT, and for a ( name brand amp ), you cannot go wrong. Always follow the directions, power/supply it correcty using the right wiring and hook up some quality subwoofers such as the ( SWS Series ) and you should have no problems learning to enjoy this little but impressive AMP from Alpine and supplied by Online Car Stereo !

  • I used to own this amp with 2 4 ohm type S 12 inch subs in a bassworx ported box, was only gettin 400 rms to the both of them and it slammed so hard that it hurt (91 celica hatchback) this amp is great, i upgraded to the mrd 1005 with 2 12 inch type R's 2 ohm, just bought it cant wait to hear it

  • i have this hooked up to a pioneer premier 10 at 2 ohms, with the signal fed from an Alpine IVA-W205. This is the first mono amp I have owned so I do not have anything to compare it to in the mono department. Compared to running an MRV-F35 ch 3/4 bridged, this amp increases spl and sq considerably. I have this installed in an '04 F-150 and the bass is much deeper/rich, and I can turn up the volume a few more clicks before my sub begins to distort (which is the sub's fault) I only have the gain set at a little under half on both the amp and the head unit(sub control), which gives me quite a bit of room to grow if I upgrade my sub, but as of now it sounds above my expectations. I only gave it a 9 in all ratings (except value) because I know there are amps out there better than this one, like the MRD-M1005, but for your money this is an awesome buy. The only thing I really don't like about it is the removeable cover, which really isn't a big deal if the amp is hidden under a seat, but if for some reason i wanted to display it and feel like tweaking the sound i'd have to unscrew 2 tiny allen head screws to get it off, which are a little tedious to put back in, and in my opinion could easily get lost, stripped, or broken if over-torqued.
