Product Reviews For Clif Designs QX6550

  • These sounded great for the money i paid for them, but they didn't last long at all, i got about 5 months out of them before they shorted themselfs out, powered only with a sony deck, seems as if that was too much for them. Not much bass, but good mid range and highs, good SQ. Would not buy C.D. equipment again. Buy JL Audio instead, much better in every aspect, SQ, tonal range, an ability to last over time with large amounts of power.

  • The previous reviewer doesn't under stand RMS requirement versus distortion. These spaekers need 50-100 watts RMS reasonbly clean. the Sony head unit is only 17watts rms and not clean enough. distortion killed these speakers. "Improperly powered." I have these in my car as rear fills on a JL Slash 300/4 for 2 years and they're clean and screem.

  • i have 4 of them in my car on a 200w RMS Amp and they are great the best money i have ever spent ! and yes if you try to run them off 17 Watts RMS on a crap Sony Deck they will not work the way they should !
