Good speakers for the price. For the price... Go with something higher. The tweeters will make your ears bleed. Accurate, but SHRILL. I'm comparing these to my infinity reference component set with tweeters that just blew. Thus these. Definitely wish I had SAVED UP and gone for the kappas. I spent money on these and now I'm saving up to get two sets of kappas. That's how it goes... Live and learn I guess... I'd recommend these to someone who wants decent sound at a price you probably can't beat unless you can find some infinity references at this price.
I'm with the guy ahead of me. For the money and the simple fact that you're buying a component system.. Spend more so you'll be truly satisfied. I will say this. These can't take the 80 or so RMS watts I throw at them and they start popping like mad when i get pissed and blast em. That said, when I turn it just to the brink of mad distortion, they do handle it beautifully. I'd say look at the more power hungry models of components by Clif. If they're designed like these as far as durability goes, you'll have a hard time screwing them up. These are really solid speakers with tweeters that are POWERFUL. I have a feeling I'll be stuck with these tweeters long after the woofers blow. Probably won't use em tho. In one word: durable.
I own a pair of these speaker. They look and sound good. bUt the only problem with these speakers they can't take to much power. I have them hook up to a Boss CH1600 watt amp. After the 6th day the burst. I recommend buying the more expensive version of these speaker.
I purchase two set of those for my motor cycle witch has an Anvic D3 and THX thunder pro. 2 days later their trash. I would only suggest the crossover
