Product Reviews For Boss Audio MP3-4100R

  • for the cost, you can't beat it. The buttons, and volume control are very 'cheap' to the feel, and a bit small.. but the USB / CD / MP3 is nice..

  • I've been looking for something that takes both SD-Card and USB for a long while. And while this is a cheap stereo Value for money wise it is perfect. I am very happy with it.

  • I bought it a little while ago, it sounds great, and for the money offers more than other brands even have. Great features like USB and Memory stick make it very cool.

  • I have been testing the unit for two months. Pros: + aux input located on the back, so I can run a cable behind the console, under the carpet an get out as clean as possible next to the seat (no ugly cables in from of the unit) + Multiples outputs: has several preamp outputs, subwoofer out, plus a great wattage. + Lots of info: will display all kind of info from a mp3 song + USB in: I got an usb from sand disk with a blue led, so it flashes when is being used. + Has a remote control Cons: - will remember the last song played but not the random mode. - Letters are a little too big on the lcd, so info gets displayed slowly - The lcd is not bright enough

  • The unit itself worked fine as far as the tuner, CD and SD card. However, my unit would lose all memory by the next day and have to be reset. I am in the process of trying to replace this unit. (All wiring was done correctly) Other then that for the price it is a good stereo. The sound is great and the SD card feature works well. As someone else mentioned the unit is not bright enough during sunny daytime hours and too bright (in my opinion) during nighttime hours. There is no way to adjust the display brightness. The only other item I find slightly annoying is the volume control. It does not protrude from the radio and is somewhat hard to use. Once again for the money you get a pretty good unit. I think I may look at the JVC models if I were to do it over again. They are more then twice the cost of this unit though.

  • Great sound/price ratio. Buttons are small but once you know their position it's no problem. Great features.

  • I bought the radio a few months ago and im very happy. It sounds great with its 60W output. I have had many different radio's in my car and i must say for the price it is great.
