Product Reviews For Boss Audio GT980

  • I bought this amp new and installed it in my car pushing Polk 6.5" Components and a Kicker 10 Comp VR. It sounds clean and clear for about 5days then a whining sound started. Yes...my power and speaker wires were seperated at different sides of my car and it's not signal noise from my power cables. It has plenty power but that whining has become annoying. You get what you pay for...

  • Great Amp for the Money. I installed a complete Boss system 4 6.5" 2-way Chaos, and 2 10" GT Subwoofers and BV6000 head unit. I am very happy going down the road blowing everyone's mind. I get no feedback like in the other review posed on this web site. I would think that install had a grounding issue. I highly recomend Boss Audio

  • I am not an 'audiophile' by any means but I have a classic car that I restored and wanted to improve the audio. Bought a 4 channel Sony XPlod w/50 watts ch rms and it was good but not much bass power. Replaced it with this amp and now it has excellent bass power. No subs, just some 160w rms kevlar 6x9s in the back and component set up front. It has 5 channels (not many do - don't need multiple amps) so I might put a small thin sub under the seat but for my 40 year old ears, this thing rocks and is great value. Had it for a month w/out any problems or whine/noise issues.
