  • Amazing and clear sound, good price, I put them in my Chevy Aveo without special modification in doors and window panels.

  • Great Highs, but lacks a lot of the lows, I know they are for mids, but have to turn bass up all the way to appreciate some lows. Great if have subs for bass. Light up and look great.

  • I've been buying stereo gear for about 20 years now. I've bought them all. I bought these for my "beater" (99 Altima). I got them hooked up to a Phoenix Gold Octane R9.5 and they sound great!! Excellent highs, mids and mid bass. What you get for the money is hard to beat. I would recommend these to anyone no matter what your budget is.

  • Right after I ordered these a review came out in a magazine that scared me a little. And I honestly have to say I noticed the same overbearing in the upper midrange the article mentioned. However, after a good break in period they smoothed out alot and even with the problem in the midrange I'm sure these are still the best set of higher powered components you could buy. They handle the full 100watts RMS very well with no obvious fatigue or stress added to the sound. Bass was very robust for a 6.5" woofer. I know it's been mentioned on another review that they lacked bass but I question whether or not they were properly installed. My doors are heavily damped with sound deadening and the mounting location for the speakers is well reinforced with an MDF baffle. These are steps everyone should try to follow whether the speakers you buy are cheap or outragiously expensive. The guys with $10,000 systems aren't spending that kind of money or doing that much work to the vehicle for nothing. Sorry for the rant, back to the review. Again, the midrange is very strong, good for placement in a factory location where the speakers have to fight through factory panels. And finally the highs are astounding smooth and clear for a speaker of this price range. I highly recommend these to anyone who is looking for a less expensive alternative for a high power handling component set.

  • The BEST speakers for the money! I previously had Pioneer TSA 4 ways and these Hifonics components did exactly what I wanted, they sounded ten times better and cost less than any 6.5 speaker I ever owned including Pioneer, Sony, Lanzar, Bose, Infinity, Whips, Clarion. Great speakers. Thanks OCS. (the speakers are in a 1994 4 door Integra front doors, I'm going to put two more sets of these speakers in the back deck to replace my old 6x9s)

  • Bought these speakers as a replacement of the original door speakers of my 99 camry. I am running them with a soundstorm 240w x 4,they sound awsome, crisp and clear.exelent highs and perfect mids.. for a 6.5 componet speaker that were build and design to reproduce essentially mids they bring tight good bass if install themwith a good damping, better than pioneer and others expensives speakers..the crossover is perfect, the best sound you can get for the money!!!!!two words ABOVE AND BEYOND

  • I bought these for my Mazad3. I am very impressed. They handle all the power and then some. I have 130 watts rms going to them and they sound insane. I am a big BASS MEKANIC fan. They produce all the mids and highs on the CD I have. Sound quality is prestine. One word "OUTSTANDING"

  • I installed these in my 06 Nissan SE-R to replace the stock speakers, and really liked how clean the highs were, and the mids too. The bass is not what you use these for, and as with any decent component set, it will sound all the better with some bass in the trunk. Totally worthwhile buy. Putting these in my new car as soon as I can.

  • these are great for upgrading from stock with a stock radio. they did get distorted when the music was turned up, but thats every speaker. now i have a panasonic 7" touch screen cd player. And let me tell u this these speakers are sooo clear not really ment for the bass because they r small speakers but they are very clear worth every penny and they are not expensive.

  • Great Sounding speaker. Some of the Highs are abit Harsh not as bad as Infinity but not quite as good as the Alpine Type X Components. They are loud and Clear nice mid bass I have them amped with a JL 4x300. They sound alot better after the break in period. These are a great Deal. I have 2 sets of these in a 98 Explorer. I had to make custom 6.5 encasings (3/4 MDF) in the doors to switch from the factory 5x7 speakers

  • these are my first pair of components, dont get me wrong ive been around massive horrible sound systems my whole life so i know quality.these are great ok, hifonics is not a cheap brand and i would bet money these would keep up with fosgate if not continue after fosgates all cracked up and falling apart. i suggest getting an amp for these females cuz they can handle a beating, great with stock deck/replacement, but a noticible amount better with an amp. OCS ALL DAY. AND TRUST ALL MY CAR ENTERTAINMENT COMES FROM THIS WEB SITE. GRACIAS

  • My first set of componets to replace the bassy factory componets in my vw golf. I have a set in each door and man do they CRANK! Don't hook these up to your head unit without an amp since they are power hungry. I listened to them before install and found that you get the best balance of mids and highs with the -3db setting on the xover. These are a massive improvement to my old system. Running off of a hifonics 4 channel 100watts each, they give great detail and reproduce music brightly and clearly. Very "in your face" sounding. The only bad thing is the LED in the cone. It is hard to get power to them and they require a fuse.

  • ive had this set for over 2 years now ,and onfourtonitly the other day i blew one of the speakers listen to jawga boyz(red neck rappers) now i love my metale ,and theese rock with rock metale rap ,wht ever you want to listen to they are hooked up with a jensen 4 channel amp 790x4,and yes it pushes them fine, they are good speackers ,but in my opinoin the tweets could be better,i had to use some bass blockers in lin crossovers with the crossover they come with ,and tht made them sound better so they are decent i have changed over to some 2 way coaxil hifonics ,but im still gonna use the component tweets,as far as the 6 1/2 mids i am building a box for the 3 working ones and gonna use them in the house
