Product Reviews For Kenwood KFC-1680ie

  • First off, Only Buy From This site!!!! I paid $150 for these speakers at my local audio shop. They thrive on people who dont do thier research! These speakers are awesome! If I could have paid this price, it may have been the deal of the century. I have it rigged up to a kenwood KAC-8401 4. ch running with 3 channels (4 speakers bridged+1 subwoofer) I ran it just with the kenwoods until I could get the front speakers amped. They are very clear and loud when amped. The highs are exquisite and the mids are excellent. These would be fabulous front speakers if you dont have the cash for components. 10 out of 10, BUY HERE TOO! ITS THE BEST PRICE!!

  • I just had two sets of these and a new Kenwood deck (HU) installed to replace a factory system that had a bunch of speakers die. They sound really good. They are sharper and clearer than my stock speakers. Music with a lot of stringed instruments or someone with a really pure voice sounds awesome. Overall I'm pretty happy with them, but they need quite a bit more bass response. My factory system had a bunch of bass to it but wasn’t as clear as these. In the end I’m going to install a sub or two to give me the bass I was used to before. These are great speakers, but lack the bass I hoped for with this new system. If you want to replace stock speakers pass on these and look for something that gets more bass response. If you are intending to get subs anyway they are a great value and sound great.

  • I just replaced the stock speakers in my 97 Prelude and what a difference these things make. I love the sound quality and the highs are way better than expected. Im not complaining about the "bass" becasue who honestly buys speakers for bass, thats what a s-u-b-w-o-o-f-e-r is for, for all you people who love complaining about the lack of bass from aftermarket speakers, ITS NOT FOR THAT!. All music, esp reggae sounds great with all the different music tones associated with that type of music. Buy them here for sure because I paid about 80 for them and would do it again right now if I needed speakers. These things cannot be beat for the price and I don't have them amplified from an external amp nor do I even have an aftermarket head unit(yet....). I am MECP certified and have heard quite a lot of different speakers so if you are looking for nice clear speakers that take about 20 minutes to install, go for these. Two thumbs up if you want clear, crisp nice music w/o putting a hole in your wallet. A+

  • These speakers sound great, They sound great in my back seat. the highs are very detailed, but i'm only using these as mids in the back seat. They are cut off at 2khz on a 12db slope, with a crossover that i made. the mids are not very warm, but it's easily fixed with an equalizer. I believe this is a solid set of speakers for just under $50. Thanks Kenwood. To the user that said "who buys speakers for bass?" I do. They at least have to go down to 60Hz without bottoming out for a good transition to my subwoofer.
