Product Reviews For Alpine CDE-9846

  • I was looking for a simple no frills quality replacement for my factory junk radio in my ford explorer. This was a perfect choice for me. Fit the dash using mount kit and harness adapter. Work excellent. Would recommend for the value.

  • This was installed in my daughter's Cavalier when I bought it. It looks and sounds nice. I upgraded from factory Delcos to aftermarket Alpine 6x9 and Kenwood 4x6. It helped, but now the radio is shutting off at high volumes. I called Alpine tech support and the guy said the unit is only 16 watts RMS, so it is likely shutting down because the speakers require too much power. We'll see what happens when I put the 6x9's on an amp.
