Great unit, sounds very strong with stock speakers of my 2004 Envoy. I plan on changing the stock speakers in the near future (for even better sound), I don't plan on using a amp this unit has plenty of power. I am looking for good crisp clear sound, I don't want the windows to rattle. The sound of this unit is crystal clear, with the 7 band EQ you can make it sound the exact way you want it.The only down fall is the owners manual is very sparse in its explanations of the many features(just play around with the unit and you will figure it all out), also it does not play WMA files.
For a modest price you can have a head unit which is easy to install, sounds great,and is easily expandable (satellite radio). The DSO feature is outstanding when used in conjunction with an equalizer and quality amps and after makert speakers.And NO ALTERNATOR WHINE like with Pioneer crap. BRAVO SONY!
