For the money these can't be beat. They have pretty good sound quality, get really loud and deep, and have show quality looks. To me it has the best looking cone ever, plus its tough as nails.the reason why they made it like this is so the cone will be stiff and won't flex. That means hardhitting, distorton free bassalso increases cone displacement for loud, deep bass.
Excellent Subs pound hard, low and clear. Better than the MTX 8000's I had. I have a Alpine MRP-M850 Mono amp powering two of these with a sealed and ported box, makes my side mirrors vibrate, and my rearview so much I think it going to fall off. Excellent Buy!
i have 2 of these running off a 1500 watt mono block amp in a ported box, unbelievable, and these subs cant be beat at the price, GET THESE SUBS, your looking for something very very loud, deep, very reliable and good sound quality, look no further. excellent buy, kicker 4 life
Loud clear distortion free bass in a ported box. it says i should give them 300 each in a ported box, im givin them 890. doesnt distort. and i dont turn the volume down.
Great sub for the money. loud, clean rock solid subs. with an infinity 611 they pound and they can handle much more than what ive got on them.
Very loud for the price, also very nice quality. I have them hooked up to a JL 500/1 amp and they sound very nice. Definitely worth your money.
These Subs are great bought these to replace to Pioneer subs. These speakers have a stiff bass and will never flap unlike the pioneer. The sub hits hard and rattles everything inside my Dodge Caravan This sub is very good only trouble i had was to find out should i run parallel or series wiring. ended up using series wiring. And it hits HARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
have 2 of these in a small sealed box with a kicker ZX 750.1 amp and wow....do these things sound crystal clear and LOUD! sold my 12' w6 to buy these and couldnt be any happier. i saved myself some trunk space, money, and didnt have to suffice any sq or spl. these 2 together sound louder than my dub 6. would def. buy these again, you cant go wrong for the price
I have 2 of these babies in a sick custom built box powered by the hifonics txi1008 and they are crazy! first night installed i go cruisin and wit the amp at 55% and set of 2 car alarms! 55%!!! thats sick but the only dissappointment is that they have very little excursion other than that these are almost as loud as the L7's cuz my friend has 2 of those and mine are very very close so if ya want bang for the buck hit these up.
Got 4 of these down to 1 ohm in a custom sealed box powered by 2 Autotek SS1900.1D amps. They hit MUCH harder than I expected them to. Excellent choice for any mid-level audio enthusiast.
just bought 1 of these in a ported box...hooked up to a Hifonic's 1200 watt amp..these kickers can handle more that there ment to. they hit VERY hard and Very deep notes VERY cleary...subs ive had so far! for the price u cant go wrong at all! buy these subs if you want jealous friends, angry neighbors, and an all around great sound system
Basically, if you want your subs to hit low notes, don't get this sub. I can't complain much about them though, I have 2 in a ported box hooked up at 4ohm to each and an Alpine M-500 powering them. Either Kicker is over-rated or Alpine is under-rated because I can get my subs to hit the voice coil when it hits really low notes such as the chorus in Kush-Lil' Wayne or I put on or I'm Shinin' or any of those low note hitters...they're great for high hits though, so if you listen to rock, these are good enough. best song=Nothing Left-As I lay Dying
This is for shane from wisconsin. Those cvrs have one of the lowest notes ive ever heard from a 12 in or even a 15 in. check the settings on ur amp make sure yhat ur low pass filter isnt too high, make sure that you have the voltage on ur amp matching up to the voltage from ur radio. another thing, if ur running ur system ported, check your amp specs to see if you have a sub-sonic filter(if not ur subs can only handle 200 rms. i would check all of those things, or take it to a professional to get it checked out. dont make a mistake. you got sum bad azz subs. pce
The headline is no lie, these subs are amazing. i have two of these and i have been pulled over many times and have set of car alarms and let me tell you these are worth the money two thumbs up. Kicker makes amazing subs
i have 2 of these subs and they pound, there in a sealed box in a 1993 nissan altama with 640 watts RMS to them all the time no problems, had them for about 1 year. AND I LOVE GOOD LOUD CLEAR SOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i have 3 of these and man they hit hard they will make u death good subs for money
I love these subs. I've got two of em runnin off a 1600 watt hifonics at 2 ohms in a single cab toyota pick up. They pound ridiculously hard. Everything in my truck vibrates and i even got a little windsheild flex off the lows. Plannin on buyin two more in a bed box. A good choice for money and quality.
i have 1 of these in my dodge dynasty its amazing its so hard and crisp my neighbors hate it but i love deff worth the money
Funny story. I have two of these hooked up in a custom built ported box runnin off a Kicker 750.1 class D monoblock and they will hit pretty d**n hard. I was sittin in traffic one day with them bumpin pretty good to some jeezy and a lady THREE cars in front of me storms out of her car AT A GREEN LIGHT!! Comes up and says "Do you have any idea how f*****g loud that is!?" After laughing so hard that I pissed my pants I told her to shut up and get back in her car and drive. I turned em back up WAY LOUD when she was walkin back and she gave me the bird. :) Yeah Im a jerk but hey these subs are entertaining for more than just bass I guess.
I have 2 of these powered by a crunch 700 watt rms amp at 4 ohms in my '04 mustang, which has a fantastic stock system in it already, and it hits like a mother f*cker then I learned that they will be louder if I wire them 2 ohm and I haven't done that yet but can only imagine how loud it will be. this is all connected to my stock stereo so I also learned that it will get louder after I get a new one.
im planning on buying four of these! pretty soon! but i am debating on what amp i should get or amps... so any ideas would be great! andi dont want ideas like crunch and hif. no that stuff sucks! real bass junkies help me out! thanks
Started out just buyin one of em to see how it sounded..loved it bought 3 more and built a bed box in a single cab toyota..these things pound..sets off car alarms wherever i go, makes my steering wheel move, and shakes windows in houses. dont believe me check out my youtube video..THESE SUBS!!
These subs are decent. Not the best but not the worst. Good bang for the buck. People saying they hit so hard i broke my splene, no where close. Get good box and CLEAN amp you will be good.
Great Subs, have 2 powered by hifonics brutus 2000w mono. I love the sound but i hate the rattle of my car, my dynamat order should be in soon and i hope it will start to sound better. But overall great subs, very loud
I have two of these amazing 12"s in a ported box hooked up to a 1800watt kenwood class d mono amp.. I gatta tell you these sub's for 12 they hit hard.for the money man you can not go wrong
I have 4 of these bad boys in my 99 regal gs wired to a rockford fosgate t2000 amp and man ima let you know right now these thangs slam when at stop lights from behind me it looks like i got someone in me trunk tryna bust out, tail lights gonna break, review mirror pointless... stupid retarded loud....
Awsome Subs! I have 2 on a ZX750.1 and they slam!!!! I will stick with kickers till im dead.
I have one of these in a 94 grand marquis hook up to 2 ohms in a shitty homemade box and weak ass pioneer amp that still cant match the rms power on this sub. Let me tell you my car will vibrate, already had to replace tail lights and constantly have to buy fuses cause the amp is pushed to its full limit. Plan on getting another and better amp.
got 4 of these in a 96 cutlass and they pound not as loud as some of u people are putting on here u guys are over exagerating but i am pushin a hifonics brutus 2010d and they sound real nice
I have to give these subs a 10. I had two of them in my 2000 chrysler hooked up to a zx750.1 running at 1 ohm in a sealed box of my own design. With an extra battery to help run it. I hit a amazing 181.6db. My box was 5 cubic ft and they filled every bit of it. Now I'm going to put 2 more in my bonniville and should get the same results. And my sister has only one in a saturn hooked up to a cheesy 500 watt amp in a box that I also made and she's in the 150db range. Repeat buyer always go with kicker livin loud baby. Livin loud!!!!
Rick from Montgomery,LA I have three of these in a groundshaker ported box in a 85 delta 88 on hifonics brutus 1600 watt amp at 1 ohm they hit harder than any sound system i have ever had you can here me block away
I have these in a ground shaker box with a hifonics brutus amp wired to 1ohm in my 95 mustang gt. it has knocked my wing loose i recently just lost my rear tag and i get crazy window movement on the front and back. totaly worth the money!!!
man i have 4 of these in my suburban with a 1500 watt amp and they are banging knocking my rearview mirrow off with the radio on 9 and the bass halfway
i had these subs and the hit hard like hell with the kicker zx1000.1 these sub put out good low passes with that amp and the pice is cheap they are almost giving them away with that price !!!!
I have two of these bad boys in my 01 cherroke with a ported kicker box and these things kick.. ive out bumped 15's
i had two of these and they have lasted me about four years and they finally blew just the other day. but i recomend these to anyone just dont give em to much power like i did. i had each one takin about 1000 watts rms. just a little to much.
I have 3 of these in the back seat of my dodge Dakota in a sealed box I made my self.being pushed by a 2000w autotech supersport.and these things will slam I've out beat 5 kicker comp 10s..then 4 pioneer 12s.3 kicker comp 12s and alot more. I recommend these subs to anybody great performance for a low price.
I have two of thes bad boys in my ext cab seirra, being pushed by a kenwood 1800w mono!! and let me tell you that ish bangs, thay are the older modle cvr's but still!! my friend has two JL w6 pushing 1200w and mine kills his in the strait up bass and power!! the only thing that i wish was a little better was the overall sound quality with hitting thos higher bass notes!! but would 100% recommend to any one, and for the price, unbeatable!!
Got 2 of these in a sealed groundshaker box with a fosgate p500 in a single cab ford and these things thump. Best subs u can buy for the price. Make sure u get a high quality box and amp to get the quality I'm talkin bout
For the reviewer that said you wished it would hit the upper bass notes...set your crossover point slightly higher. I know exactly what you mean, and you need to make that crossover point a little higher. Probably by like 15Hz to 20Hz from where it's currently at. Try that and see what you think. That might help. I've generally found that setting that crossover point somewhere between 125Hz and 130Hz is a good point for me to start and fine tune it to your liking from there.
