these subs hit hard!! great lows great mids great highs, they sell for around 175 bucks a piece at an audio store,so this is a great deal buy with confidence
I've had many of subs; JL, Mtx, Infinity, well besides the Infinity Kappa Perfects, these are the best subs I've had. I have 2 of them in a 1.25 cf sealed enclosure powered with an Alpine Mrd M301 mono on each sub @ 2ohms. The bass is unbelievable and they hit hard. Plays well with all sorts of music. I strongly reccomend.
I have two cvr 10'in a ported box, runnin a 850.2 kicker amp. They hit hard but one thing, they seem to bottem out on really low beats. Maybe its the box,I have heard that these subs sound better in a sealed box.But over all, I am imprested by a long shot. well worth the money.
i have 2 of these in my mustang being pushed by an amp thats pushing about 600 rms... lets just say that when im in my driveway i can visually shake my mirror in my bedroom on the second floor of the house....AMAMZING!
i have 1 of these being powered by a alpine m450 amp with a pioneer 4900 in dash dvd and a nice set of pioneer speakers. this sub really does a good job. i have it in a sealed box. it was in a ported box but i dont think it was made for this subs specs. but the sealed box is great as well. sound quality is really important to me and this sub gives nice low and loud bass. i had a friend guess at what i had in my trunk, and he thought i had a couple of 10's. obviously that was wrong cuz i have 1. and then he guess 2 12's. he was shocked at how well this thing sounded. so that same day he went and got two of them for his car. and his system sounds so damn clean and loud. he likes the loud ass bass that makes mirrors vibrate or fall off. im more into sound quality. my point of the story is, if you like loud ass bass, or if your into sound quality, this will do the job quite nicely.
I have one of these subs in a vented enclosure with 1.0 cubic feet and it pounds like hell yeah. doesnt hit the lows as well as expected but you cant expect too much low response from a 10" sub. i have it hooked up to a kicker zx300.1 and it provided substantial power. i am selling this setup because im about to install a CVX12 and a ZX750.1... so we'll see how that goes. but all in all, this sub is nice and having a pair of these powered by a ZX750.1 would be more than enough thump for most people.
i have the 03 models of these same specs tho. if you want subs that just pound these are it. i have a 1400 watt amp runnin my 2 and i have never had trouble from them at all.
i have 1 of these powered by the zx400 amp in a sealed 1.0 cubic foot box in a tahoe and it manages to vibrate the mirrors and seats a bit. when i put it back in my kicker ported truck box in my regular cab truck it will most likely hurt my ears a little bit. these things get loud, well worth the money. also it can handle probly 600 rms without any problems kicker underates everything they make which is what makes them the best.
I have 4 of these powered by a hifonics txi 6006 amp bridged at 1ohm and you can hear me from a mile away.
I have two 12 CRV12-2Ohm and they pound but I wanted more so I got one of these speakers to add to my 12's.Well just adding that one speaker did a hell of allot. I have the one 10 hooked up to a volfenhag zx7180 2000-watt 2 channel A/B class amp. 2-Ohm stable. Bridged at 640-watts RMS at 2-Ohm. Some people like these amp. and some don't? I think there a very good amp. The manual says + or - 2%.. Great all around speaker for the money! KICKER is the only way to go in car audio.GO KICKER OR GO HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had two of these in my mustang running on an eclipse 800w amp and they POUND. but my bro is an idiot and he borrowed my car and blew one of em turnin the bass all the way up. but no doubts how im replacin it kicker all the way. ive got other subs but they dont sound near as good. these dont distort at high volumes. best speaker for your money hands down. BUY IT
i have 2 of these in my acura hooked up to a 1000 watt amp an it plays beautiful especially with hiphop and reggae. it a very good buy
my friend got 4 10's cvr in his truck sounds like a tornado comin through the block
im runnin a 1800w performance teknique to two of em in a wedge box ain a single cab chevy 1500 1991 and they rock ir harrd my interior is fallin off
I have 4 of these powered by a 1200 watt hifonics in a sealed box.1979 pontiac lemans.sounds great
i have three of these in a tri dimension sealed box sounds like hurricane katrina rollin thru tha gulf best for the price cant beat it
Installed my CVR yesterday after recieving! Only took 2 days from the day of shipment to recieve! I must say, what a difference from my last sub. I had a 10" Infinity Refrence Series Sub, 250w RMS, 1000W PEAK which hit hard and sounded good. It was a really good sub and I really liked it but decided it was time for an upgrade. I'm very happy and impressed with the Kicker CVR and for the price on here, I don't think you could get any better! I will definatly recommend CVR to anybody! My system consists of a Pioneer head unit with 2 Pioneer 6.5" components, soon will have all 4 just have to build a box for the other 2, a JL Audio 500/1v2 D Class Amp connected to a 1 Farad Cap mounted to a 2 cubic foot sealed box. The deck has the bass turned all the way down and the amp is only set at +4 bass boost and all other controls at half and it sounds amazing! Just by turning up the bass on the deck it hits harder than the Infinity did! Love Kicker! Next sub i'll getting will be the L7 with a slot port box! Thanks Online Car Stereo for an excellent product, excellent customer service and speedy shipment! Will be doing business with you again!
Installed 2 of these along with a HiFonis 1000.1d mono amp today! they sound amazing! Such lovely sweet bass, with 0 distortion! they are great for theri value! Wire them at a 1 ohm load and you will be pleased! Mine are in a 1500 silverado ext cab with a ground shaker and they sound great! Not that I can see them on a daily basis cause they face down, but when I was installing them, they were very good looking! highly recommend!
Haven't had any major issues with the product, and it is still working well. Would reccomend for a budget.
