Product Reviews For Dual XDVDN8290

  • This player has more standard functions than any other stereo I could find out there. It imporved my sound quality but ALOT. I Already had an amp for my speakers in my car but this unit made it alot louder and hit harder. The money value i feel was unbeatable. i could not find a better all in one unit for even more money.

  • Overall I would recommend this product to any one. This head unit has many features to offer. The DVD quality is good and the Navigation works pretty well. The bluetooth feature is extraordinary and connects to pretty much any phone bluetooth capable phone. I-pod Interface could be a little better and the equalizer could also be better. Only feature that it is missing is Satellite radio but i do good without it seeing that i use my I-pod 90% of the time. I installed it myself and installation was fairly easy. If this is your first In-dash buy, then this is the most "bang for the buck"

  • I needed to replace my outdated and unreliable pioneer (avic-n1). I had been looking for about the last year at many different makes and models with similar features. I decided to take a chance on the Dual and I am impressed! Everything works great for me and the install went really good in my 2000 F-350 it fit just right with only minmal trimming of the outside trim piece and it came out looking like a factory unit. The only things that could be better for me is a better control feature for the ipod specifically the shuffle feature to be usable for your entire Genre collection instead of only a usable feature when your listening to a specific group. I found that you can get past it by simply using the video option on the stereo controler and then using your ipod control for your music and you can do it your way. Also as a note it does charge your ipod (some other models will not). The other thing would be the maps could have less points of interest and more street names as you are passing them but it works without flaw and is accurate and is easy to use. I am so happy that I did not spend the extra money and for my needs the reverse camera option was something that I had with the other unit and wanted to keep and this works great as well. Great value for your money and quality seems to be better than the one I replaced.
